The Daily Teaser …

It’s Official …

I can now get away with sawing “Top o’ the morning to ya”, in me best Irish accent.

Yeah …

Which would probably be about as convincing as …

Well …

As convincing as me trying a Irish accent.

Not very convincing at all, in other words … !

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day, in other words.

And I think we’re supposed to celebrate with Guinness and oysters.

Says the man who doesn’t drink and can’t stand seafood … !

Let’s get moving on, shall we … ?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Kaiju, Debbi, and the returning Meredith — @RockTique, in case you’re following her on Twitter — all putting in their answers: with Kaiju and Debbi bagging 5 out of 5, it also saw Meredith bagging 4 out of 5. Not bad at all, considering she’s been away for a while. (I’ve also got to admit, all three had me checking my sources about Samoset: turns out he was an Abenaki: not a Mohegan, as I thought. I’m blaming Jimmy Wales … )

At any rate, let’s see how Meredith, Kaiju and Debbi — and you — do with today’s Saint Patrick’s Day questions, shall we … ? Here they are, along with the ‘How To’, License and video

Q8) 17th March, 2001, saw the formal open of the world’s largest greenhouse, at The Eden Project: in which English county is the Eden Project … ?

Q9) And finally … 17th March, 2008, saw Governor Eliot Spitzer resign his post as Governor, after a scandal involving him and a “high-end prostitute”: which US State was he governor of … ?
And here’s Yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) 16th March, 1621, saw the first contact between the Pilgrim Fathers and Native Americans: the native American in question, Samoset, was a member of which tribe … ?
A1) The Abenaki.

Q2) 16th March, 1950, saw Communist-controlled Czechoslovakia eject diplomats from where … ?
Q2) The Vatican.

Q3) 16th March, 1958, saw the Ford Motor Co introduce its 50, 000, 000 car: what model of car was it … ?
A3) A Thunderbird.

Q4) 16th March, 1884, saw the birth of which silent film actor … ?
A4) Harrison Ford. (That had me worried, there: I don’t think Botox was that good.)

Q5) And finally … 16th March, 1953, saw Britain receive an official state visit from who … ?
A5) Marshal Josef Tito of Yugoslavia.
Enjoy those, everyone: I’ll catch you later …
