But, inevitable, I’ve had time to catch up with some TV.

Yep: it’s time for episode 12 of El Ministerio del Tiempo/The Ministry of Time— Series 2.

Episode 12 — Hasta que el tiempo os separe/Until time do you part — shows us an unnamed castle: in the years of our lord, 1212.

It shows us Constanza (Alba Ribas): a young woman due to marry Don Fadrique, the lord of the castle: and who is in love with a humble shepherd called Sancho.

Only to see her lover killer by her soon to be husband.

In the turmoil of the wedding?

Constanza decides there’s only thing to do.

Find her way to the battlements … 

Through that convenient hidden door …

Now, in the present day?

Amelia and Julián (Aura Garrido and Rodolfo Sancho) are sharing a dance: at the wedding of fellow agent, Ortigosa (Richard Sahagún).

They are due to have a deep, and private, conversation … only to be interrupted when Amelia sees a young woman … about to jump off the battlements … 

Who said weddings are messy … ?

You’ll excuse me for saying so … but the evening is getting on: and my bed is getting ever more attractive.

Hasta que el tiempo os separe is another spell-binding episode is a series that’s more than worth its weight in gold: this episode is showing us a series that can do comedy, do heists, political thrillers, war movies … 

And good old fashioned romance
