That’s a thing …

It seems that the hunt for Raoul Moat — the gun-man who’s been chased for the past week in Northumbria — has finally come to an end.

With the death of Moat, by his own hands, on a river-bank just yards away from the small Northumbrian village of Rothbury.

You know, I’ve got to admit I’m a cynic, sometimes.

But, while I had a feeling that Moat would end up shooting himself — these things so-often end that way, as events in Cumbria have shown us — even I couldn’t have predicted footballer, Paul Gascoigne would get involved.

Which is frankly odd …
