Yesterday’s Teaser saw Trevor and Kaiju going head to head: with both bagging 7 out of 7, Kaiju closing the time-stamp gap down to four minutes, and Trevor quoting P. G Wodehouse, and a couple of lines of COBOL. It also saw Kaiju managing to pointing out the the answer for yesterday’s Q6 was, in fact, Western journalisms attempt at anglicising the Chinese term for astronaut.

Either way, lets see how they — and you — do with today’s questions, shall we? Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License
Q1) 16th October, 1923, saw the founding of the Walt Disney Company: what was their first feature length animated film … ?

Q2) Which was the first of Disney’s theme parks … ?

Q3) Which Disney movie was the first to feature any sort of computer generated animation … ?

Q4) 16th October, 1996, saw what banned in the UK: handguns, shotguns, or civilian-owned sub-machine-guns?

Q5) 16th October, 1965, saw the birth of which British DJ and journalist … ?

Q6) And finally … 16th October, 1964, saw the People’s Republic of China, test its first … what … ?
And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) 15th October, 533 AD saw which Byzantine general enter the city of Carthage … ?

A1) Belisarius.

Q2) More to the point, which tribe had he seized it from … ?
A2) The Vandals.

Q3) 15th October, 1956, saw the first release — to the computer programming community — of the worlds first computer language: what’s the name of that language … ?

Q6) What exactly is the Chinese term for an astronaut … ?
A6) The anglicised version of the Chinese term is taikonaut. In China, the phrases are “yǔhángyuán” (宇航员, “sailing personnel in universe”) or “hángtiānyuán“ (航天员, “sailing personnel in sky”). And Taiwan uses the term “tàikōng rén” (太空人, “spaceman”). So you know …

Meredith -Ok, I see I'm a little late as Trevor has posted the answers already...however, as for the first of Disney's theme parks, were you looking for location (I still would have guessed orlando) or were you looking for "magic kingdom", which was the first of all the different "theme" parks Disney has developed over the years? I've gotta say, these are NOT easy questions as I thought they would be, you've definitely got my brain simulated quite early!

Meredith, I certainly aim to try … !!

I used to run pub-quizzes, semi-professionally: and one thing I did learn … ?

Is the people who do them — much like Trevor, one of my earlier audience members, back in the day, Tim, who’s an old friend who’s always itched to see me perform live and Kaiju, who, despite being in California, I suspect would do seriously well — can be pretty hardcore!

Enjoy this lot: I’ll be posting in the morning …
