The Daily Teaser …

Hang on, Trevor, I know they took their time to show up, but answers haven’t actually disappeared: remember me saying I had a couple of training day’s to go to … ?

They were in Harrow!

The reason thing’s got a touch delayed was simply that it’s a two hour train trip.

So most people’s answers … ?

Got put up when I got in. Usually after nine …

Lets get moving on, shall we … ? Before I start complaining about Wayne Rooney’s pay rise … !

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Kaiju, AlexandraFunFit and Trevor — repeatedly — all putting in their answers. Points-wise, it saw Trevor and Kaiju bagging 5 out of 5, and Alexandra equally her personal best by scoring 3!

Gentlemen, I think we should maybe give Alexandra a polite round of applause.

Yesterday’s teaser also saw Kaiju managing to get his answers in first, and Trevor putting in some quotes from Timothy Leary.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we? Here there are, along with the ‘How To’ and License
Q1) 23rd October, 1642, saw the first pitched battle of the English Civil War: what’s the name of that battle … ?

Q2) 23rd October, 2001, saw Apple release the first version of the iPod: what’s the name of the Apple authored software used to load music onto an iPod?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

A1) Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock.

A2) Reverend Jim.

Q5) And finally … 22nd October, 1903 saw the birth of which member of the Three Stooges?
A5) Jerome Lester “Jerry” Horwitz: better known, of course, as Curly Howard.
Enjoy those, everyone. Oh, and as Alexandra made a point of mentioning it, I’ve not included anything from The Three Stooges as a closing video.

But is it me, or does the chap playing Gordon in this clip from Taxi look both incredibly young … and very familiar … ?

Trevor

“Beauty, the eternal Spouse of the Wisdom of God and Angel of his Presence thru' all creation.”

“I know that if odour were visible, as colour is, I'd see the summer garden in rainbow clouds.”

“I live on hope and that I think do all Who come into this world.”

“My delight and thy delight Walking, like two angels white, In the gardens of the night.”

“So sweet love seemed that April morn. When first we kissed beside the thorn, So strangely sweet, it was not strange We thought that love could never change.”

“Were I a cloud I'd gather My skirts up in the air, And fly well know whither, And rest I well know where.”

“When first we met we did not guess That Love would prove so hard a master.”

Quotes by Robert Bridges (English poet laureate) born 23 October 1844.
