Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 17th November, 2018

17th November, 2018.

Right …

It’s my first Saturday off since …

Well, either last week, or for some time.

I’m …

Well, there’s a lot of paperwork I still need to do: emails to send, applications to make, what have you.

I’ve got teaser videos to make: quite a few, actually, I’ve taken the chance to finish the rest of the months.

You never know, I might get lucky with the interview.

And need a ton!

~≈§≈~

It’s official.

I’ve got Radio Four on, at the moment.

The Today programme, so you know.

Get’s what’s being discussed?

It’s spelt B•R•E•X•I•T, just in case you’re wondering.

Frankly?

Given that fact the presenters have been discussion how there’s a cabal in the Cabinet, supposedly plotting an alternative Deal?

And ANOTHER group who are plotting a leadership contest, to try and replace her?

I couldn’t vote Conservative if you paid me.

But we have a PM who’s STILL not been knocked off her perch.

Does anyone want to ask if she’s been nailed there … ?

~≈§≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 17th November, 1944, saw the birth of Danny DeVito.   In which film does he voice a Dr Seuss character that speaks for the trees?
Q2) Georges Besse was shot and killed: on 17th November, 1986.   He was the head of which French car company?
Q3) Which British sailor went on trial for treason: on 17th November, 1603?
Q4) Which Coloradan city was founded: on 17th November, 1858?
Q5) Finally … ?   17th November, 1292, saw John Balliol become king of where … ?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 16th November is Icelandic Language Day.   The language is mostly spoken by whom?
A1) Icelanders.   (Sorry, I was feeling nice …)
Q2) 16th November is also the Feast day of Saint Othmar.   He’s usually depicted with a barrel of what: beer, wine or Absinthe?
A2) Wine.   (Wine or Absinthe I couldn’t tell you: but real ales barrels — kegs — come in sizes that are multiple of nine gallons: anything from  four and a half to one hundred and eight gallons.   Thirty six gallons is a barrel, eighteen, a kilderkin, and nine, a firkin.   So you know.   Cask beer is most beer in the UK: it has no live yeast in it, and has extra gas introduced into it, in order to get it to the glass.)
Q3) 16th November, 1967, saw The birth of actress, Lisa Bonet.   In which TV series does she play Denise Huxtable?
Q4) A force led by Francisco Pizarro capture Atahualpa, on 16th November, 1532.   Atahualpa was Emperor of whom?
A4) The Inca.
Q5) Line M1 was opened: on 16th November, 1979.   It’s part of the Metro in which European city?
A5) Bucharest.
Here’s a thought …
“All sins are forgiven once you start making a lot of money.”
RuPaul, born November 17, 1960.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Bizarre doesn’t even start, Olga!   And, yes, we need comedies.   Although, I think one or two comedians have said it could be tough.   They couldn’t be any stupider than the politicians they’d be satirising … … (Unless it’s George W Bush …)

†        Don’t get me started on vintage clothing stores, Debbi.   We’ve got one near me.   You know how Apple are supposed to be expensive … ?   Well …

That is true. Perhaps comedians should run the countries... (they are more intelligent than most politicians and have a better sense of humour, that's for sure). Good luck jobhunting!
