The Daily Teaser — 12-12-2015

Ye … GODS …

But that was the third Friday night I’ve worked, on the bounce.

Not that I’m complaining, too much.   Especially having been out of work for so long.

Still …

It would be nice to have a Friday night off, complete with a certain amount of cash.

~≈Ï≈~

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† commenting: with both scoring five out of five, simply by pointing out I’d posted yesterday’s questions … with yesterday’s answers … !!

Let’s see if I can AVOID that, today: and tease you with today’s questions.   Here they are, along with the How ToLicense and video …

Q1) 12th December, 1897, saw the formal founding of the South American city of Belo Horizonte.   Belo Horizonte is in which country?
Q2) Guinea joined the United Nations: on 12th December, 1958.   Guinea is on which continent?
Q3) Which country launched its first successful satellite: on 12th December, 2012?
Q4) 12th December is — in some churches — the Feast day of Saint Edburga of Minster-in-Thanet.   Minster-in-Thanet is in which English county: Essex, Sussex or Kent?
Q5) Finally … Bombs went off in two Italian cities, on 12th December, 1969.   Name either of the Italian cities …
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers … again …
Q1) Buenos Aires celebrates Tango Day on 11th December.   The dance has its origins in Argentina: and which other South American country?
A1) Uruguay.
Q2) Which Commonwealth nation’s Parliament buildings were destroyed in a fire: on 11th December, 1907?
A2) New Zealand’s.
Q3) French Dahomey became autonomous: on 11th December, 1958.   The country is now called what?
A3) Benin.
Q4) 11th December is International Mountain Day.   What’s Earth’s highest mountain?
Q5) Finally … an Icelandic gunship opened fire on British fisheries vessels: on 11th December, 1975.   During a period known as the what war?
A5) Cod War.
I’ll leave you with this thought …
“When you have a family, or even when you're just seeing a girl, it's difficult to be skint.”

Bill Nighy, born 12th December, 1949.
And this tune …

Have a good day … !!

*        Yeah, that was my fault, Olga!   I was feeling vaguely rushed, yesterday … !

†        Yeah, been a while since I’ve done THAT, Debbi!!
