Stranger Things: Series 3 — Episode 4— Chapter 4: The Sauna Test — A Review

22nd July, 2019

Does that video look OK?

The introductory one, that is … ?

I’ve got to admit that, laundry and job hunting aside?

I’ve had little to do, today: except fiddle about with some games on the AppleTV.

Rayman Adventures is rather fun, it has to be said.

Bar games … ?

Bar games, I’ve had little to do …

Except watch TV … and fiddle about in iMovie.

I think I’ve managed do something novel with the intro video*.

Quite what I’ve done … ?

I’m blowed if I know …

At any rate … ?

At any rate, it’s been a quiet day: ending with a quiet evening … watching the proverbial gogglebox.

And, yes: I have been at Stranger Things, series 3, again.

Episode 4 — Chapter Four: The Sauna Test — opens by showing us Billy and Heather (Dacre Montgomery, Francesca Reale) take Heather’s parents to the mill: where the hapless pair are possessed.

Nancy and Jonathan (Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton) loses their jobs at the Hawkins Post: have been too curious about Mrs Driscoll.

Nancy, however?   Is still curious: secretly visiting Mrs Driscoll at the hospital.

Eleven and Max (Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink) reunite with Mike, Will, and Lucas (Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin) after hearing about Will's latest visions.

And, at a quick brainstorming session?

They work out the Mind Flayer is still in the real world: and has possessed Billy …

Max’s brother, Billy …

Whilst the gang try yo trap Billy in the Sauna?

Hopper (David Harbour) recalls seeing the Russian man that attacked him meeting with Mayor Kline.

He and Joyce (Winona Ryder) force the Mayor to tell them exactly who is buying land around the power plant: after Hopper spots a mysterious figure visiting the mayor.

At Starcourt?   Dustin, Steve and Robin (Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke) enlist Erica (Priah Ferguson) to break into the storeroom: only to find things going rapidly downhill …

Is Stranger Things still looking good?

Still?   Four episodes in … ?

Lord, yes!

I’ve seen very watchable TV, over the years.

Just recently?   Years and Years looked fantastic, Good Omens, great … and Spain’s finest, El Mininsterio del Tiempo, absolutely bloody superb!

I think Stranger Things

Stranger Things, like El Mininsterio, et al is becoming …

Well, I don’t know if I’ll be making up a term to cover the shows I’m enjoying.

But Stranger Things is one of them.

*        Don’t quote me … but I think the box thing is supposed to be used to create wipes, within iMovie.
