17th March, 2025: Saint Patrick’s Day.
Right … words … … …
There have to be words, right?
That describes things, ideas, what have you.
The one I’ve got in mind is the word, ‘earworm’.
It’s the word used to describe a song — or a snatch of one — playing in your head.
I don’t have one: well, bar the usual Tammy Wynette/KLF tune, blasting through my head.
But I did wake up, this morning: with the word ‘Terpsichore’ — terp-SI-co-ry, if I’ve got the pronunciation, right — banging through my head.
Why … ?
I have no idea.
Beyond catching a clip from the film, Xanadu, yesterday.
Olivia Newton-John plays a version of the figure: which — I think! — is what put the word in my head.
My point, in the midst of all this rambling?
Is this: ‘earworm’ is the word for a song that’s stuck in your head.
What on Earth is the word for a word that’s stuck in your head … ?
I’m blowed if I know.
~≈😶≈~
All that … ?
Is, possibly, besides the point.
It’s Monday.
And, as ever, I’m up early.
It’s officially weight management day.
So?
It has to be said: it’s not in its usual room at Merrymeades, today: it’s upstairs.
Apparently, there’s a slipper swop in the usual room.
I might have to take my ratty old pair along: to see what happens!
Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.
The day also saw Olga‡ leaving us a message.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

And a song …
The next ten question set is on the 3rd April: it’s about 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum§!
† That we do, Debbi§, that we do!
‡ Aren’t they just, Olga§? The crunch will be tomorrow, I think: that’s when the announcement’s scheduled.
§ Irene said to say “Hello”!
