Like the fact the North of England’s been hit by a minor earthquake.

Australia’s been hit by extensive flooding.

Over a thousand redwing blackbirds have dropped dead — in mid-flight — over a small town in Arkansas.

Oh, and here in the South East of England, we’re due to get hit by a partial eclipse, at around 8ish.

You know, if I didn’t know any better, I’d’ve thought the strange gibbering people you occasionally meet are going to be proved right about 2012 …
