Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 10-7-2023 — The Bahamas

10th July, 2023: The Bahamas.

Right … it’s Monday.

A Monday where — once more — I’m up early for my weight management meeting.

I’m looking forward to it: as it’s the last of the currant batch.

Quite what would be next … ?

I don’t know: I suspect I’d need to ask there: or at my surgery.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        The Bahamas became independent on 10th July.   Of which year of the 1970s?

Q2)        From where: the UK, France or Germany?

Q3)        The Bahamas are part of what: the West Indies, East Indies or Polynesia?

Q4)        What’s the capital of the Bahamas: Nassau, Freeport or Coopers Town?

Q5)        Finally … ?   The Bahamas uses the US dollar.   Its official currency is the Bahamian dollar.     What’s the Bahamian digital currency?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        The African Union was formed.   On 9th July of which year: 2002, 2003 or 2004?
A1)        2002.

Q2)        It replaced the Organisation of African … what?
A2)        The Organisation of African Unity.

Q3)        The African Union’s headquarters is in Addis Ababa.   Addis Ababa is in which African nation?
A3)        Ethiopia.

Q4)        The Union has him many member states: forty-five, fifty-five or sixty-five?
A4)        Fifty-five.

Q5)        Finally … ?   Which Bantu language is one of the Union’s official tongues: Swahili, Kituba or Fang?
A5)        Swahili.
Here’s a thought …
“Forward, Upward, Onward, Together”.
The motto of the Bahamas.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*         “… difficult when it comes to eating,” Olga?   Boy, that sounds familiar!   Not that I’m mentioning nephews at this point.   But it’s why I’m Jude sitting, at the weekend … !   At any rate, I can appreciate the situation.
Eye issues are never good.   I’ve cataracts on both.   I’m — thankfully — functional, at the moment.   But there’s going to come a day when I’ll need intervention, I know that.

        Hello, Mum!

They are that, Debbi!   And “The Broken Circle”, isn’t the best of them: thus far, I still think it’s “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow”, the third episode!   Either way … ?   You’ve got a package in the email: that can also be downloaded from here.

Oh, I see. I know her issues are not unique, especially at that age, although I've met adults who were pretty weird with food as well. What can we do?
Sorry about your cataracts. I guess it is probably related to diabetes...
I hope the meeting goes well today. I guess they will want to reassess the situation in light of the results and then decide what is best to do.
