Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 10th March, 2023.

10th March, 2023.

Once is an accident.

Twice is a coincidence.

Three times?

Starts to look suspicious.

Yes: I’ve woken up, this morning … to find the boiler’s needed to be reset … again!

Yes: I’m going to phone my landlord’s boiler contractor’s, today …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        10th March is Mario Day.   It celebrates which video game character?

Q2)        10th March is the feast day of Saint John Ogilvie.   He was a member of which Roman Catholic order: the Jesuits, Servites or Franciscans?

Q4)        Sharon Stone was born on 10th March, 1958.   In which 1992 film did she first play Catherine Tramell?

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Chuck Norris, born March 10, 1940.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        I’ll look forward to that, Olga^! :D
Now THAT must have been quite a show to catch: and one I wouldn’t’ve minded seeing, myself!   Apparently, he did a few things, over the years, quite a bit of it on stage.

Hello, Mum!   (It was in the Pacific, Mum, not the Atlantic!)

Did you ever see him in Fiddler on the Roof, Debbi^?   It’s quite a thing to see, it really is.   (Roger Lloyd Pack — John Lumic, in the first NuWho Cyberman stories — has a bit part in it!)

^        Pointless bits of trivia for everyone.   The chap that played the Fiddler in The Fiddler on the Roof, also crops up as a bandit in the old William Hartnell story, The Crusade: he plays a bandit in episode four.   Ruth Madoc — from Hi-de-hi — crops up as a ghost.   Oh, and Roger Lloyd Pack — who’s been all over the place! — plays a minor part.   I could go on for hours!

Q1) Nintendo

Q2) the Jesuits

Q3) Mad Men

Q4) Basic Instinct

Q5) Nicholas 2nd
Oh yes, Fiddler on the Roof life was great. And no, I had no idea about other appearances by the violinist. 6 degrees of separation and all that!
Sorry about the boiler, but I can't say I am surprised. It is a familiar pattern, although I hope at least the fault is easy to find.
The play I went to see, well, more of a poetry performance, was good, although it wasn't where I thought it was. Luckily, it wasn't very far off, but I've discovered the same centre has another building nearby...

You have mistook Tsar Alexander 2nd for Tsar Alexander 3rd.

Tsar Alexander 2nd was born 29th April 1818.

Tsar Alexander 3rd was born 10th March 1845.
