Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 5-3-2023 — Judge Dredd.

5th March, 2023: Judge Dredd.

Yes: it’s officially the day after my birthday … and I’ve had a very nice meal with my family.

At the local Wildwood, so you know.

It’s got to be said, they do a rather good steak and chips.

It’s a shame my two sisters forgot to bring the presents … !

Still, I can’t complain, two much.

That was a rather nice steak!

Remember, yesterday, I woke up to find my radiator wasn’t working?

Resetting it — by holding the power button down for three seconds — seemed to help.

I’m still keeping something of an eye peeled: in case it does the same thing, again.

It’s not repeated the behaviour, this morning: for which I’m truly thankful.

But?

One?   I’m still keeping an eye peeled.

And two?   I’m wondering what caused that!

~≈§≈~

Oh … and JUST in case you’re wondering … ?

Yes: I also managed to finish my written and video reviews of ‘Seventeen Seconds’: the most recent episode of Star Trek Picard.

You really have to see this series.

Michelle Hurd’s Raffi, and Michael Dorn’s Worf, doing their Good Cop/Bad Cop routine?

Is funny, witty, dramatic … and very watchable!

Let’s move on, shall we?

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

And an old friend’s thoughts on Robot Wars, the first long Dredd story.

He’s also slowly building a Dredd themed playlist.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        It went nice and quietly, Olga: which is nice.   I’m expecting the last few presents on Tuesday: everyone was too rushed to remember them, last night!
Oh, yes!   Baby killers — and abusers — aren’t popular, inside.   If I’ve understood things correctly, they’re usually put on separate wings.   It’s called getting ‘segged off’, segregated off: and also known as being ‘on the numbers.’   Amazes me what I learn sometimes!

Hello, Mum!   Cheers for the meal!   (Would Anna or Ruth like to pop the last of the presents down, today?   The Judge Dredd one Anna got me would fit today’s theme!)

I’ve got to admit, I’ve heard little about Ellroy, Debbi.   But I do know he’s got a reputation!   (Sorry about the number of questions: but the answers are — mostly! — short.   I hope!   And the next few themed quizzes — about the Periodic Table, the Siege of Khartoum and William Gibson — are five question ones.)

^        The Fink Brothers’ Mutants in Mega City One is a great bit of electronica.   It’s a just a shame about the video.   The Fink Brothers were actually Chas Smash and Suggs of Madness: you’d think they’d know better!
