12th December, 2024.
It’s officially official.
I’ve got new t-shirts I want to show off.
But … ?
It’s a little too nippy to be wearing them.
Or, at least … a little too nippy to be wearing them … without a jumper … !
Heigh … ho!
~≈👕≈~
A little girl called Sara Sharif died, last year.
Murdered by her father and step-mother.
That, as these things always do, leaves me feeling upset, disturbed and angry.
As it will leave many other people.
Those responsible for her death will go to prison: and get the lovely reception child-killers always do, inside.
But … ?
There will be questions.
- How did this happen?
- How do we prevent this?
- And — last but not least — how could they do this?
I don’t know how it happened.
I don’t know how to prevent this: but suspect lessons could, should and must, be learnt: as they should every time this happens.
How the killers could do this?
I don’t know.
But suspect the only answer I can give you, is the deeply cynical one I always trot out when these sort of killings happen.
‘Very easily’.
Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum†, Olga‡ and Debbi§ putting in their answers: with Debbi scoring five out of five, and Olga and Mum on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s five questions, shall we?
Q1) 12th December, 1975, saw the birth of actress, Mayim Bialik. She played Blossom in which 90s TV show?Q2) 12th December is the International Universal Health Coverage Day. Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Here’s a thought …
“I think a lot of times on TV we see caricatures - that’s what’s funny.”Mayim Bialik, 12th December, 1975.
A song …
An earworm … without a dancing panda …
And a Mayim Bialik clue!
The next large question set is on the 31st of December.
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Yes: I’m being heavily ironic, there. I’m also very aware that those who harm, or kill, children are — understandably, I think — the most hated people in prison. And usually placed on a separate wing for their own safety.
† Hello, Mum …
‡ Ah! Apparently, Olga, Debbi’s got some very good insurance through her husband, Rick. I’m grateful: and thinking it, and the Medicare she has would be un-needed, here.
Cuba, you say? I’ll have to see if I can get hold of that film. (There’s a cocktail called a Cuba Libre: there’s possibly a bad pun, there, if you can get free treatment, in Cuba …)
§ I honestly couldn’t tell you if he was mad, or not, Debbi. All I can tell you is that he sounded desperate …
At ANY rate … ? The Michael Moore film Olga suggested, Sicko, is on the UK branch of Amazon, as a DVD. I don’t know if it’s on his website …
(Where CAN you find a lawyer, Debbi? ;D )
