30th December, 2024: The Ginza Line.
It’s officially Monday: so I’m up early!
But not necessarily for the reason you think.
Normally?
I’d be getting ready to head for my usual weight management meeting.
Today?
I’m getting ready to head for a set of quarterly diabetic blood tests.
Hopefully?
I’ve had enough water for the phlebotomist to do their job!
~≈🩸≈~
I’ve been known to buy a book, occasionally.
I’ve a couple of comic books, collected editions of the old 2000AD strip, MACH 1, on order*, for example.
But … ?
I’ve also got a copy of Fowler’s Dictionary of Modern English Usage: which turned up, yesterday.
It’s pretty much what it say on the tin, a guide to how to use different British English words, and something I’ll find handy.
I was expecting something around the size of my copies of Harts.
What I got was a breeze block!

Just as a final thought?
Today’s earworm is “Go!”, by PBS.
And … I’ve given Leela, the First and Third Doctors through the Image Playground.
See if you can guess who’s supposed to be who …
Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga† and Mum‡ putting in their answers: with Olga scoring four out of five and Mum on three.

And a Ginza themed tune …
The next large question set is on the 31st of December.
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Volume two turns up, today. Volume One, near the weekend. Do you want to get sarcastic, first, or shall I … ?
† Yeah, sorry about the Ireland question, Olga§: but, when I checked the link, the reference had gone! I’m blowed if I know what happened, there! (I’m assuming that whatever happened, happened after Mum put her answers in …)
I’ve got to admit, I’ve not seen The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie: I’ll have to check it out. (Oh, I caught an interview with Hazel O’Connor, that was included on the Breaking Glass DVD I’ve got. It was interesting stuff!)
‡ Hello, Mum§!
§ Has anyone spotted Debbi … ?

Oh, well... A dictionary is always good.
I think I only saw Debbie say hello on Twitter (I don't really want to call it X). I hope the tests go well.
About people getting things wrong... I had to sign some paperwork, online, for the bank, and discovered that according to their data, I am "de facto" separated. I've never been married, so that one looks difficult. I have no idea where they got it from. Not me, that's for sure. They've put it right now, but although I looked around for a way to correct it, there wasn't...
I didn't do another teaser? Oy! I have been pretty busy.
