Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 2nd December 2024.

2nd December, 2024.

It’s official.

I caught a movie, last night: the 1980, Hazel O’Connor vehicle that is Breaking Glass.

I’ll have my review up, later: but?

But … ?

I’ve now got “Give Me An Inch” ear-worming its way through my head.

~≈👩🏻‍🎤≈~

Did I mention I made a quick video, yesterday?

I made a quick video, yesterday!

Can you do me a favour, please?

I made a quick video, yesterday.

Let me know if the thing makes sense, please!

~≈📼≈~

Just as a last thought … ?

It’s early on a Monday morning: so, of course, I’m off to my weekly weight management course.

Hopefully?

I’ll have lost something: something I’ve not managed over the past couple of weeks.

Even though my trousers feel looser, I’ve gone up, slightly!

~≈🍅≈~

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s [insert number here] questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q5)        Finally … ?   And many years later? 2nd December, 1954, saw President Dwight D. Eisenhower sign a defence treaty with what’s now where: Malaysia, Taiwan or the Azores?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        1st December, 1963, saw which state become part of India: Assam, Tamil Nadu or Nagaland?

Here’s a thought …
“Everything I buy is vintage and smells funny.   Maybe that’s why I don’t have a boyfriend.”
Lucy Liu, born December 2, 1968.
A song …

And another earworm …

The next ten question set is tomorrow: and about Berkshire.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

That it is, Olga!   As I recall, Scott chose Giger to design the creature, and the alien ship it was found on: and used Moebius and Chris Foss for the Nostromo, the human spaceship.
He met all three when he’d been hired to work on what eventually became David Lynch’s version of Dune: they — and effects man, Dan O’Bannon — had also worked on Jodorowsky’s Dune.

Orwell certainly foresaw a lot, Debbi.   Did you ever read he ‘Politics and the English Language’ essay?   It’s riveting!
All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred, and schizophrenia”.
From ‘Politics and the English Language’ by George Orwell.
