It’s comparatively early on a Monday morning: and Madison Avenue’s “Don’t Call Me Baby” is on, in the background.

Because you have to be playing something, right?

At any rate!

I’m up early, today.

Not because I’ve got my weight management meeting: but because I have a hospital appointment.

Nothing drastically serious.

But these things always seem to be awkwardly timed!

Yes: I have earworms!   Again.

Or, at least, an earworm!

Usually, I can put at a reason why I’ve got a song playing through my head.

A phrase would’ve reminded me of it.   Something went past on the news.   What have you.

This morning?

I’ve woken up with SPK’s Metal Dance banging — literally — though my head.   Specifically, the live version the band did on The Tube, many years ago.

It was an authentically odd performance, with sheets of metal, flamethrowers and angle grinders, by an authentically odd band, one straight off the set of Mad Max … on what had to be the UK’s edgiest music show.

I’ve just literally fed the phrase ‘I’m a Banana,’ into Google.

Why … ?

What can I tell you, I had a weird moment.

I got a weird moment in return.

No, really.

Here … 

Quite why someone wrote ‘I’m a Banana,’ I don’t know.

It actually seems odder than Googling the phrase in the first place.

The Daily Teaser — 19-5-2015: Degrees of Separation

You know, I SWEAR that’s having some funny effects.

Well, not funny, per se.

But the new dual monitor set up I’m using on my computer seems to have some nice side effects.

Mostly … ?

Well mostly where one or two games — mostly independent effects, like Pac The Man X and Armagetron Advanced* — that seem to to just a hair’s breadth faster.

Yes, I know it’s barely perceivable.

But it does make for a difference: and one I’m not complaining!

THAT worked … !

Remember, yesterday, that I said I was going for an interview?

There’s a long story, there: but, through a mix of me not double-checking, and the company not actually saying anything in the email, but I ended up walking to Pilgrim’s Hatch — near where my family live — for an interview that was actually in Mountnessing.

Which is inaccessible to a non-driver, like me.
