It’s Monday … !

Yay!

OK, maybe I shouldn’t be that joyous about the start of the week.

But … ?

It’s Monday.

So I get paid: my Universal Credit comes though the this date, each month.

And … ?

It’s the day for my weight management meeting.

Or weigh-in.   Or class … or something … 

Whatever it’s called, it’s the day for it.

I can only hope I’ve lost a few grams!

I had a delivery, the other day: one that included the latest Classic Dr Who blu-ray collection.

I was surprised about the price, until it got here.

It’s a collection that consists of ten discs: two more than usual.

However many there are … ?

I’ve been copying the discs with MakeMKV, since yesterday morning.

And … ?

I’m ripping the ninth disc as I write.

It amazes me how fast the process it.

And I’ve got Radio 4’s Sunday programme on.

Which is focusing, at the moment, on online Christian services.

Did I mention I’ve started using DaVinci Resolve as an alternative video editor?

I’ve started using DaVinci Resolve as an alternative video editor … in case I hadn’t mentioned.

I’m still getting the hang of it: and wondering how to reduce the inevitable fringing I get, compositing green screen elements into a project.

That said … ?

It’s not stopped me using the software to make the introductory video to the post: nor stopped me writing a review of Nosferatu, and turning that into a video.

Which means … I’ve got most of the bills paid.

We’ll have to see what happens, there: as I’ve still not had the physical copy I was told would be sent.

Yes: it’s officially payday.

Or, at least, the day I get my benefits.

And pay the bills.

Frankly?

I’m expecting the money to go extremely fast, this month: as we’re due to start paying out council tax — property tax, for my US readers, from March.

I’ve applied for help from the local council for that: but not yet had word About whether it’s been granted to me.

Granted: these things take time.

And granted, our benefit is due to do up in April.

But … ?

I get the impression life is going to get expensive …

It’s officially Wednesday!   It’s officially the middle of the week.

It’s DEFINITELY Hump Day.

And it’s also both payday — involving a lot of frantic running around, paying bills — and a day I’ve got a GP’s appointment.

With my doctor: obviously.

By phone.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to discuss a few things.

There’s one or two things that need to be addressed.

In the short time we have available.

The corona virus has killed normality.

To an extent!

The UK is looking at assorted shades of lock down, panic buying and closures.

I know I’m going to go shopping later.

And am very aware the shops are going to be … either crowded or empty.

One of the two.

I’m also very aware I’m jobhunting.

And, yesterday?   Put in an application for my local Iceland.

For one of what the company’s calling a ‘seasonal temporary worker.’

A shelf stacker, in other words: refilling the shelves, over night.

I didn’t get it.

A company who want’s shelf stackers, at a time when shelves need refilling, fast, and a man that wants a job … ?

And a man who ends ups not getting it … ?

It’s seriously screwed up.

It’s the aftermath.

The morning after the day, before.

A day that saw me happily watching three episodes of Stranger Things.

Watching … 

Very aware that there’d been a terrorist incident in London.

And please note, I say incident.

This has killed five people, and injured others.

My thoughts are with the families of those killed.

My thoughts are with those injured.

My thoughts are with Muslim/Asian co-workers: who are going to get a backlash from the type of idiots using Westminster as the excuse to retaliate, to meet violence with violence.

My thoughts … ?

Are that this is a terrorist incident.

One could have been much worse.

Could been a serious attack.

Like 7/7 …
