It’s official: I have a dentist checkup, today.

Which frankly mean I can jump with joy, once it’s over.

Or, at least, once I’ve picked up the medicated toothpaste the dentist prescribes!

Remember, a few days ago, that Brian Thompson — CEO of a huge US health insurance company — was shot by a masked killer.

A suspect — 26 year-old Luigi Mangione — has been arrested in Pennsylvania, charged with possessing an, unlicensed firearm, with forgery and with providing false identification.

New York police have charged him with murdering Thompson.

Apparently?

He was found with a hand-written document that “indicated ‘motivation and mindset’”.

I’d love to know that document said.

I want to know an apparent Ivy League graduate has done this …

21st June, 2024: New Hampshire.

Yay!

It’s Friday!

Which means it’s payday: and I can sort out my bills, and get some shopping.

Oh … 

I also have some new medication: replacing the Trulicity I had been on.

Yes: I now have four weeks supply of 1mg doses of Ozempic.

Hopefully?

Those supplies can be maintained.

As helpful as the Trulicity was, I believe it wasn’t quite as effective as the Ozempic.

As a side point?

The World Health Organization has issued a global alert: warning people about fake Ozempic being sold online.

The alert is a good thing to see, I think.

But also … ?

Not — given the demand for the stuff — what I’d call surprising!

People will buy anything!

As a final thought … ?

I managed to catch the most recent version of Tales of the TARDIS, last night.

An updated — and very relevant — version of Pyramids of Mars, the first Dr Who story to feature Sutekh.

It was rather good to see the old story: albeit it in a somewhat edited form.

The updated effects were very good.

As was the framing story: of the Doctor and Ruby discussing how the Doctor could dealt with the revamped villain.

Personally?

I can only hope the BBC gives this — and the other Tales of the TARDIS — a blu-ray release: I think they deserve to be seen by as many people as possible.

Right … it’s officially official: I am up early, again.

Yes: it’s Monday, and I’m off to my weight management meeting, today.

Again.

Hopefully?

The weight’s gone down.

It would be a nice thing to mark my birthday!

You’re possibly aware that Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will be announcing the UK’s budget plans on Wednesday.

And?

That I’ve had help from Southend Council’s Essential Living Fund over the past few months.

That fund?   Is financed by the Household Support Fund.

And … ?

It looks like the money for the Fund could well end, in this budget.

That’s beyond sad.

Beyond being a shame.

And beyond many words I could use.

There are thousands who rely on schemes like this.

Right … 

It’s officially official: I’ve had my COVID 19 vaccination.

And went all the way to Shenfield for it.

It is, effectively, the closest place to my front door.

To be honest?

I got there an hour late: but, thankfully, the chemist was happy to oblige me.

Phew!

Oh … tomorrow is the 1st November: you’d guessed.

You’re also aware — if you’re a Dr Who fan in the UK — that all of the classic series, bar one story, is going to start showing on the BBC’s iPlayer Service.

From tomorrow.

There’s more!

It seems a spin off — Tales From The Tardis — is also going to air on the service.

And the franchise will be released under the ‘Whoniverse’ banner.

People are going to be busy!
