I’m working today: so you know.

So I’m feeling a little rushed.

But I couldn’t help but notice my local newspaper — the Brentwood Gazette — has stories about the local branch of McDonalds.

Apparently?

Apparently, Brentwood’s branch is to close on 6th April, of this year.

Can’t think WHERE the Gazette picked up that piece of news.

And really don’t know which unidentified KFC worker they’re quoting!

The Daily Teaser — 20-11-2014: The Grand Mosque

Right … 

I’ve officially got the day off.

The day off, time to myself … 

And time to do some shopping, with the last of my benefit payments.

Frankly … ?

Well, frankly, I’m looking forward to that.

One thing the weight management programme I’m on has taught me, is that a healthy snack’s important.

Or, at least, healthier than some of the alternatives.

Personally — and as odd as it sounds — I’m getting used to apples.

Ha!   Like you hadn’t worked THAT out already … !

I’m in schtick, as an old boss would’ve said.

I’m having to apply for help from a food bank … !

You know, the charities who collected donated food, and give it to those in need?

I’m on the latter end of the equation.

Wouldn’t you know it … ?

The Daily Teaser — 29-6-2014: Ramadan

I … am … FUMING!

Again … !

You’ll remember that, recently, I’d been put off the Government’s Mandatory Work Programme.

From — I believe — no fault of my own.

Well, I got a letter, yesterday.   Basildon’s Benefit office have decided to suspend my benefit payments for three months.

I was and am extremely angry.   I feel I made my best effort whilst on the programme, was put off it despite my best efforts, and — again, despite my best efforts — have been sanctioned unnecessarily.

I can understand why some commit crime, frankly: if it means paying the bills, in these circumstances.

And can only hop folk start hitting that ‘Donate’ button: I could REALLY need the help.

Understandably, however … ?

I’m appealing.

After all, and as far as I know, my benefit payment — including the payments that cover my rent — are all tied to my Job Seekers Allowance.

I’d rather not get evicted through no fault of my own.
