But I’m very aware that Alex Kingston — best known as Dr Who’s River Song — is taking part in this year’s version of Strictly Come Dancing.

And is at the top of the leader board, after last night’s samba.

I’ve just found a game on Apple’s Arcade service called John Bottom.

It’s fun, addictive … 

And very reminiscent of an old ZX Spectrum game called Jumpin’ Jack … !

I’ve the evening to myself: and fancy a movie.

I don’t know which movies: but HAVE whittled it down to a choice of three.

The Black Phone, Flux Gourmet and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Which one I’ll see?

I don’t know.

But I’ll tell you, tomorrow night.

I’ve a video interview at 12:30 on the 5th: that I’d rather get a good night’s sleep for.

Given you’re online, you’ve possibly come across Facebook: possibly one of the biggest social media sites.

And one that owns Instagram and WhatsApp.

All three went down, last night.

And are now back up.

Quite what happened there … ?

I couldn’t tell you.

But I ended up nattering to people via old fashioned text message!

I’ve just had a call from +34633109250, a Spanish number.

The woman at the other end claimed to be from Amazon: and was asking about the iPhone I’d apparently ordered.

When I said “You’re a scam call, aren’t you?”, the lady hung up.

One of my neighbours was watching: it seems someone tried kicking the door down.

Mad fool that I am.

Mostly DVDs and blu-rays, since you ask.

Including Deep Six: written by Old Peculiar regular, Debbi Mack.

She’s been commenting here for many years, after all.

The only issue, there … ?

Is Amazon have no idea when it’ll be despatched.

I’m assuming that’s because it’s print on demand: only printed when a copy’s ordered.

That?   With the costs involved?

Is understandable.

But also a touch frustrating … 

Especially when yo look at the US delivery dates* …

You know, I’m feeling vaguely rushed, tonight.

Rushed … and nervous.

Frankly?

I’ve had the day off, today.

And was expecting a rather important call.

Which hasn’t happened, yet.

So I’m expecting all sorts!

On top of that?   I have an early start, tomorrow.

Ideally, I should be getting an early night, because of that.

But … ?

I did want to tell you I’d seen something, tonight.

Frustrating.

Hours cut at work?

That’s not good.

Interview last Thursday: I’ve still not heard.   I should know by today or tomorrow.

Catching up with Teasers and the minimal bit of house work I need to do?

Well, that’s done, bar the videos.

Leaving me with the real frustration, tonight: on a night when I have to be early for work.
