My nephew, Jude, was here, yesterday.

Yes: he’s uploaded more Mikey videos.

Jude’s still mourning, I think.

I do know he’s planning to do more for his regular channel, next week.

That should be something to see!

It’s looking good: although various characters and scenes remind me of all sorts of things.

Yay … !

Which means … not a lot, actually: beyond expecting a quiet day.

However, one bit of good news?

It turns out I lost half a kilo, last week.

That’s a good thing!

Especially after getting some teatowels — and a blu-ray — delivered.

The blu-ray’s currently being ripped, the unused teatowels are in a drawer … and the new, collapsible, colanders are in place.

I’m in the UK: which you’d possibly worked out, if you’ve been following me for a while.

And, of course, the news is — if not exactly full of it — then certainly giving a mention to the upcoming Coronation of King Charles 3rd.

I’m thinking watching it could be good: it’s not like they happen every day of the week.

There’s more news, over the past couple of days.

Apparently?   We’re going to be asked to swear allegiance* to the King.

I hope that’s optional.

I’d hate to have it back-fire on me!

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30-4-2022: Louisiana Calling!

It’d officially official: I’ve got start making May’s Teaser videos.

I have, quite literally, none done.

I do know I want to try and catch up with the snooker: I’ve not seen as much of the World Championship as I’d like.

I’m mildly annoyed I’ve missed the Williams/Trump semi final.

It sounds like the Welshman’s made a bit of a fightback.

We’ll see.

Have you been watching the news?

Then you’ll possibly know that Andrew Fahie — Premier of the British Virgin Isles — has been arrested by US law officers: on drug smuggling charges.

It’s tempting to say “You couldn’t make it up.”

Smuggling illicit items to the US, from the Caribbean?

You really couldn’t make it up.

Except, of course, Ian Fleming already did.

When he wrote Live and Let Die.

Were he still alive, he’d probably spinning in his grave.

You’ll probably also know that MP, Neil Parish, has been metaphorically caught with his pants down: after watching pornography on his phone in the House.

Whilst sitting near at least two female ministers.

Who’ve — understandably — complained.

He’s reported himself to the relevant Parliamentary complaints body, had the Whip removed, is facing an inquiry … 

And is now saying he opened the site … by mistake.

No-one has — publicly — supported that claim.

I suspect no-one will privately support that claim.

Personally?   I don’t know if that was accidental: I think opening porn by mistake can be hard or easy, depending on where we are.   I’m also aware most workplaces block porn sites: on work computers.

I don’t know whether he should resign, be sacked, or permanently expelled from the parliamentary party.

But?   He’s been unbelievably stupid*.

Right … 

First things first: I caught the news, last night.

It seems actor, director, producer and Dr Who star, Noel Clarke?

Has had his membership of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, BAFTA: and had an award he won, at the recent BAFTA awards.

The allegations?   Are listed in an article on the Guardian’s website: and have been made — anonymously — to the Academy, itself.

The Academy say’s emails have given no evidence.

If proven true?   It’s a terrible shame: as Noel is an authentic film talent.

We’ll have to see.

Did I mention I’m ripping a box set?   Of the twelfth series of classic Dr Who.

I’m ripping a bo … yeah, you can see where that sentence is heading!

It has to be said: the CGI replacement effects in Revenge of the Cybermen look good.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30-4-2020: The Fall

30th April, 2020.

Hmmm … 

Stuff is — truly — going on.

You’ve possibly realised I’m a Terry Pratchett fan: have been since I first read his work, back in the 1980s.

And I’m one of the — seemingly many — fans who’ll be boycotting BBC America’s The Watch as, when and if it gets a UK showing.

It’s wrong, on so many levels.

Including the casting.

At any rate, because of that, I’m planning to avoid it.

But also very pleased when the Guardian announced that Narrativia, the Pratchett family multi-media company had done deals with a couple of production companies: to produce. versions more faithful to the novels.

I’m looking forward to those.

The BBC America version is both wrong … and insulting to the fans, it’s American audience, and Sir Terry’s memory.

The interviews offers seem to have dried up, at the moment.

That’s frustrating … 

And gives me the suspicion I’m going to be off work for a while …
