Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13th March 2026

13th March, 2026.

Nope: I don’t speak German, in case you were wondering.

So … ?

I have no idea of the English translations of the lyrics at the start of the introduction video are.

All I can tell you is it’s from this video …

Any guess at a translation … would be appreciated … !

Something for the Doctor Who fans is the news that two episodes of the lost William Hartnell story, The Daleks’ Masterplan, have been found in Leicestershire.

They’re due to be restored: and aired via the BBC iPlayer, at Easter.

That’s good to hear: and something I wouldn’t mind catching.

Especially as it means three of the twelve episode story are now in the BBC’s custody.

My only hope … ?

Is that other episodes can be recovered: apparently, though, the story wasn’t sold overseas so there’s little chance of the episodes being found, abroad.

But, given there’s fan-made audio recording of every episode, I would love to see the story done as an animated reconstruction.

Given the last reanimated story was The Savages, in 2025?

I think we’re going to have a long wait …

As a point of trivia?

Most of the recent series — series — of Dr Who have been eight to twelve episodes in length.

Given The Daleks’ Masterplan is twelve episodes long, and includes what is arguably the show’s first Christmas episodes, means two things.

One?

The show’s first Christmas episode is part of the story.

Two?

One Hartnell story is longer than some of the show’s either of Ncuti Gatwa’s two series.

That’s just a little mind boggling, isn’t it … ?

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13th March 2025.

13th March, 2025.

Yes: that’s right … !

It’s Thursday!

And I suspect that — on a personal front — it’s going to be a quiet one.

Unlike I do something drastic: like, I don’t know, make goulash!

Or spaghetti!

Or dinner … !

We’ll have to see what happens, there.

A little while back, MP, Mike Amesbury, was prosecuted for assault.

Famously, he was suspended from his party, and had an on-again, off-again, sentence.

Personally?   I’d’ve been happier if he’s done his ten week sentence: why should an MP, an MP who’s supposed to know better, not do time?

When his sentence was revised on appeal, it looked to me as if he were being let off because he was an MP.

At any rate … ?

He’s now announced he’s to stand down as an MP.

Good.

If you’re an MP, you’re supposed to serve your constituents … not assault people.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13th March 2024.

13th March, 2024.

Right … it’s official …

It’s Wednesday: and I’ve still not finished a review!

Although my nephew, Jude?

Has managed another video … !

My only excuse?

Is that it’s taking a lot longer to write my review’s associated post than I thought.

The problem … ?

Is that I’ve had to write more about Ezra Miller than I expected.

Oy … vey … !

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13-3-2023 — Siege!

13th March, 2023: Siege!

It’s officially Monday … and the day after this year’s Oscars.

Congratulations to everyone: and well done to Everything Everywhere, All At Once, and to Michelle Yeoh.

I have have to admit to a little disappointment, though.

If you recall, Yeoh was a key member of the Star Trek Discovery cast: as various versions of Captain/Empress Philippa Georgiou.

Arguably?   She was the best thing in it: there was even talk of a spin-off, focused on her character.

Something I know I wouldn’t mind seeing!

Something I feel is now unlikely to happen.

As an Oscar winner, Ms Yeoh is going to be able to command a higher fee.

I can’t say I blame her: that Best Actress Oscar is one hell of an endorsement.

But?

I get the feeling that fee may be too much for Star Trek’s producers.

Which is a shame: they’ll be losing out on a talent.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13th March, 2022.

13th March, 2022.

Yes: it’s Sunday.

And, frankly?

I’m expecting it to be quiet.

Apart from dinner with my family, tonight.

Anything involving my nephew’s going to be a little noisy!

~≈⚽️≈~

Oh, before I forget … ?   And my entire world collapses around my feet?

I caught another episode of Galaxy Four, on Friday: Airlock.

Which set Steven (Peter Purves) trapped in … AN AIRLOCK … !

Like you hadn’t guessed.

At any rate?

The written review’s here.

The video version down here …

The Mandalorian — Series 2 Episode 6 — Chapter 14 The Tragedy — A Review

13th March, 2021.

I have to say, Saturday night’s are to be a thing.

No, really.

I’m starting to get used to the idea of watching a streamed TV show on a Saturday night.

It’s about the one upside to not working.

I’ve a regular night that I can schedule for a (cheapish) pleasure.

Blogging about the one I find interesting?

Is something of an added bonus.

At any rate?

I’ve seen another episode of The Mandalorianseries two.

And, of course, will tell you more, on Sunday night!

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13th March, 2021

13th March, 2021.

Yay … !

I’m rising the Brentwood Centre, today.

Because — wait for it — I’m getting the COVID-19 jabs, today.

Or, at least, the first of them.

Hopefully?   I won’t get too many side effects.

The Daily Teaser — 13-3-2016

You know, I THINK something’s happened …

Possibly …

Remember, yesterday was the first anniversary of the death of Sir Terry Pratchett’s death?

It was.

And I marked the day with yesterday’s Teaser …

And … ?   By giving a friendly member of Maplins staffer my spare copy of Raising Steam.

I hope I don’t get in trouble.

I suddenly remembered, on the way back home, about the old Catalan tradition that forms the basis of World Book Night: of giving someone you fancy a book, as a token of affection.

I just hope the young lady doesn’t know that one: a boy could get in trouble … !
