Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 9-12-2016: Soap and Flannel

You know, I’m thinking something, right now.

I’m thinking that, in Good Omens, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s joint novel, Death himself says to a dying character, “DON’T THINK OF IT AS DYING.   THINK OF IT AS LEAVING EARLY TO AVOID THE RUSH.”

I note that my favourite author died in March, 2015.

And missed dying in 2016.

Which has seen a lot of celebrity death: a rush, if you will.

Yesterday … ?

Saw the death of Senator John Glenn, the first American to orbit Earth, and the oldest man to do a mission on the Space Shuttle.

And also of musician, Greg Lake, founder member of King Crimson, and of Emrson Lake and Palmer: and write/performer of possibly the angriest Christmas song ever written.

They’re going to both be missed.

That’s unfortunate … 

I’m still, dispute being notionally working, at home.

I’m off ill, if you must know: with some serious stomach cramps.

I should be well enough to go back to work, tomorrow, though.

At least, I hope so: I can ill afford to lose the hours.
