28th November, 2024: Albania.

Yes: it’s officially official.

And I have nothing planned: bar helping a neighbour with her printer.

I do know I was looking after my nephew, last night.

And, on the way home?

Managed to see two — two — badgers run across the road: right in front of me.

That wasn’t the only wildlife I saw.

The fox I saw in Railway Square … ?

The one I tried to keep a polite distance from … ?

Watched me, nervously, as I walked past.

Those … ?

Were something to see.

Like I say, I was at my sister’s, with my nephew, Jude.

Yes: it’s officially a new week!

One that — in theory — is going to be quiet.

Except, of course, I’m expecting my nephew, Jude, over, today.

That’s possibly going to be noisy.

I got a letter, on Saturday: and meant to mention it earlier.

Clarion — my landlords — have sent around their usual mail — mail, note — to remind us that our parking permits are up for renewal.

We have to email our details to them, by 31st December, this year: on regionalhousingadminsoutheast@clarionhg.com.

Please note: regionalhousingadminsoutheast@clarionhg.com

So … ?   I sent a brief email: giving my details, and the number of permits, required.

There’s going to be problems.

As, as few minutes later, I got an email from Clarion’s email server.

To tell me my email had failed, as the “Recipient email address is possibly incorrect.”

The address given, was wrong: and has — from what I can tell — been sent to every Clarion property on the street.

There’s possibly a lot that can be said, there.

For starters?

I had VAGUE memories of using that address, before now: or, at least, one like it.   On with the individual words — Regional, Housing, what have you — capitalised.

So included that address in my original mail.

That seemed to go through.

I ALSO visited Clarion’s website: and got in touch with one of their representatives.

He told me the correct address, the one I’d luckily added, is RegionalHousingAdminEastSouth@clarionhg.com

But that I should sent a mail to the customer services address: customerservices@myclarionhousing.com

Which I’ve done.

Frankly?

I think Clarion’s … no, scrub that.

I know Clarion’s made a big cock up.

There’s going to be issues.

As I said in a post, last night … ?

I’m something of a techno-fetishist.

Or, at least, a Mac fan.

You’d possibly noticed.

I’m one who — for want of something better to do … ? — has been trying to revive my again Mac mini: the one I nicknamed Bruce, the one I bought many years ago, and the one I used to start this blog.

And the one I was hoping to use to play a few retro games.

Unfortunately … ?

The main hard drive’s gone: which means complicated repairs, trying Recovery Mode, or just plain trying to install the OS to an external USB stick.

We’ll just have to see, won’t we?

In other news?

You’re possibly aware a new COVID 19, named Omicron, is now doing the rounds.

A variant that’s a lot more transmissible, and coming in from Southern Africa, and that’s seen the government of the UK reimpose mask-wearing in England: as from Tuesday.

What’s more, it seems there’s two cases in a named town in Essex.

Yep: Brentwood.

Frankly?

I’m hoping we avoid another lock-down.

Given the Restart scheme is mandatory, and could lead to sanctions were I to not attend?

I’d hate to get caught out.

Star Trek Discovery — Series 3 Episode 4 — Forget Me Not — A Review

Right … 

I have to admit it, I‘ve just been watching TV: after having dinner.

However?

I’ve had one of my regular commenters let me know, this morning, that there’s a problem.

That videos I’ve uploaded to the post — rather than embedded into the post from YouTube — don’t seem to be playing.

If you can let me know which of the above play?

I can try and do something about it.

Or, at least, complain to Google!

It’s been a usual Saturday night: I’ve watched another episode of Star Trek Discovery.

Yes: I’m officially going to be waiting … 

Until at least Monday.

Remember that my landlord’s have loaned me a laptop, so I can do a course?

And that I need the user or admin password, so I can install some software … ?

Well … I’ve emailed my landlord’s Digital futures team: or, at least, the rep who’s dealing with my case … 

Now all I have to do … ?

Is wait for them to contact me … 

I’m inpatient: I hate waiting!

That was yesterday: where it was getting used to boil my teatowels.

Granted, they’ve not turned out perfect … but they are better than they were.

At least, they turned out well enough that I’ve got the pot on the stove, again.

So I can boil wash my socks, and bedsheets.

At this rate … ?   My underwear could be next … 

Now … would live streaming that be a good idea … ?

You know, I have to admit to being up early.

Frankly?

I’ve a meeting at the Job centre at 9:30.

Mostly one that sets up the course I’m supposed to go on.

So I was up at six.

Half an hour before that … ?

Someone rang my doorbell: the one on the main door of the building.

At five thirty.

Who was it?

Why did they ring?

Why were they there?

I’m blowed if I know.

I’m not answering the door at that time of the morning …

Hmmm … 

What on earth has happened, there … ?

A couple of days ago, Google managed to do some upgrading to Blogger: the site I use to publish this blog.

It made it difficult — indeed impossible — to use with Safari: my default, preferred browser.

I got with using Google Chrome, for the duration.

I got on with it, it has to be said.   Although Chrome works differently enough to make using it a (minor) annoyance.

Last night?   Last night, I opened Safari, and pressed the ‘New Post’ button.

Just on the off-chance.

It loaded up the page: with not a sign of a problem.

So, this morning … ?

We’re back to normal: thanking you for the fix, Google.
