Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30th March 2026.

30th March, 2026.

Right, then: I’m official up on a Monday: and up early!

Yep: it’s time for my weight loss management class.

Given my weight had gone up, last week?

I’m hoping it’s gone in the other direction, today … !

Frequent Apple watcher that I am … ?

I’m very aware that Apple’s now retired the Mac Pro tower: after some twenty years of production.

Personally?

I wouldn’t’ve minded one, myself.

The fact the original versions were expensive, but user upgradeable, made them an appealing purchase.

The market moves, though.

Recent models aren’t quite as upgradeable: and not as powerful as the Mac Studio, with it’s more powerful chips.

It’s a shame to see it go: but it wasn’t going to last …

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30th March, 2025.

30th March, 2025.

It’s officially official: the clocks have gone forward … !

And I’ve had an extra hour in bed.

At least, I think I have.

I could never work that out!

~≈⌚️≈~

You’ll remember that Friday saw me spending time with my nephew: and having a good time.

Until Deliveroo got involved.

The meal we’d ordered was half an hour late, getting to us an hour after we’d ordered it: rather than the promised twenty to thirty minutes.

Thankfully?

And after figuring out the complaints system … ?

Deliveroo have agreed to refund the money.

It will go through, I’m told, ‘in 5-7 working days, depending on your bank’.

Here’s hoping …

Just as a last thought, if you’re following the t-shirt story: about the t-shirt I’ve ordered … ?

They’ve updated me, again.

It’s now in Woodbridge.

In New Jersey* …

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30th March 2022

30th March, 2022.

Right … it’s officially going to be a quiet Wednesday, today.

Assuming my nephew doesn’t turn up!

Assuming he does … ?

Things will get noisy.

Oh, the nominations for the BAFTA TV awards have been released, today.

And … ?

The Russell T Davies penned It’s A Sin is leading the nominations: up for Best mini-series, Best Actor (Olly Murs) and Best Actress for Lydia West.

Assuming Lydia wins?   And assuming she’s a genuine candidate for the 14th Doctor job?

It’ll give her one hell of a negotiating position.

Good luck to her her, either way.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30-3-2017: Give God A Solo!

My job has it’s ups and downs, it really does.

It’s a temp job: and the hours vary.

This week?   I’ve two days off: despite my best efforts.

Granted, there’s a downside: less pay for the week.   Although the help I get from Universal Credit helps.

The upside to more time off?

Is I get to get some house work done.

Get seem videos done …

And, hopefully?

Catch some TV … or possibly a movie.

I DO know I caught the last two episodes of season one of Stranger Things, last night.

I know I was impressed.

The Brentwood Gazette’s Weekly Teaser — 6-4-2016: At Waterloo,

Oh, now, I hate having to do that.

Phone in ill, to work.

Right at the moment?

My guts are seriously acting up.

Which is WHY I’ve phoned in ill.

It’s not something I like doing: however bad I feel, I hate letting the side down.

The Brentwood Gazette’s Weekly Teaser — 30-3-2016: Give God A Solo

Right …

I have a confession to make.

My guts HURT!

Frankly … ?

I think that’s a result of not having anything to eat, last night: after I got back from work.

It’s doubly painful, as it mean’s I’ve had to cancel seeing my nephew, Jude, today.

Not something I like doing, as you may realise.

The upside is that I’ll hopefully get to see my family on Sunday: the next time I have time off.
