If you read yesterday’s teaser, you’ll have realised the my local branch of Domino’s made a dog’s dinner of Jude and I’d dinner, on Tuesday.

So, after I’d finished posting, yesterday?

I headed for the Domino’s website, found their email address — and the online complaint form — and had a good whinge about it.

And asked for my money back.

Going by the reply I got?

The branch has five days to reply.

I’ll try and let you know what happens …

I caught another episode of For All Mankind, on Tuesday: and finished both a written, and a video, review, last night.

They’re a little short.

Although, in my defence?

I spent a lot of time, yesterday, emailing Dominos!

Right, then: it’s now officially Wednesday.

And … ?

I’m going to have a quiet day: with — possibly — nothing to do.

Except, maybe, watch more Max Headroom!

Or — as an alternative — start on series three of AppleTV+’s Foundation.

Lee Pace, as the villainous Brother Day, is the nastiest piece of work!

I had a phone call, yesterday: whilst I was in my local Sainsbury’s.

From a caller using the number, 07495806944, calling herself Jennifer, and claiming to be from a cryptocurrency website.

I politely told her I wasn’t interested, and put the phone down.

Then blocked the number, as soon as I got to a convenient bench.

It’s not as worrying as the AnyDesk attempt I had a few days ago: that involved being conned into installing cross-platform software that could take control of a computer it’s on, and steal all sorts of information.

But … ?

Just as a general point, I didn’t want to take the conversation with Jennifer any further.

It sounded like a possible scam …

Yay … it’s Tuesday … !

And … ?

I’ve just had a look at my new diabetes meds: so I can look up how to use them on YouTube.

It turns out the pens are similar to the Ozempic pens I’ve used.

Only with a screw thread.

The Ozempic pen has a twist button.

By contrast?

The Mounjaro pen has a screw thread style of button.

A slightly fiddly one: if, like me, you’re left handed.

Unscrewing it means the lettering’s upside down.

OK, I should be used to this sort of thing by now*: I’ve been left handed all my life.

But … ?

You’d think people would notice, wouldn’t you … ?

I haven’t had a phone call.

I’ll repeat that … I’ve not had a phone call.

Frankly?   Given one of the calls I’m expecting, this week, not getting a call could be good.

On the other hand?

I had an interview, on Friday:at a local betting shop.

And was expecting a call, yesterday: to let me know how I’d done.

Did I get a call … ?

Did I get a thing … ?

Nope!

I wonder why I bother, sometimes, I really do … !

I saw this place on the BBC’s news channel, yesterday: telling us the late Alan Turing is now going to be commemorated: by having his face on the new, polymer, £50 note.

Personally?

That seems a good way to honour the man who invented the computer.

Yes: I’m right, aren’t I … ?

There’s interesting stuff doing the rounds.

For starters?

I’ve — as ever — got Radio 4’s Today programme on: and John Humphrys is giving a Russian hell.

Or getting hell from Sasha Baron Cohen.

One of the two.

At any rate, they’ve just had former Education Secretary, Justine Greening, on.

Whose calling for a three option, second Brexit referendum.

A three option Brexit, please note.

I HATE agreeing or endorsing anything said, done or even breathed on, by a Tory.

It’s on a par with asking Hilary Clinton to vote Republican.

But?   I’ve been thinking for months that we need a second referendum: one with exactly her suggestions.

The Government’s making a complete hash of it.

Her options?

• The soft Brexit proposed by Theresa May’s Chequers document.
• A Hard Brexit: leaving the EU with no deal.
• Staying in the EU.

Personally?

I don’t see it happening.

Mores the pity.

But I know I’d be happy to vote for staying in the EU.

I actually manage to catch … the series 11 teaser trailer*.

Although whether it’s a trailer or not is generating discussion on Twitter.

At ANY rate?

I’m pleased to have seen it: it looks good.

But notice that, beyond the ‘Coming This Fall’ text on the US version?

There’s no actually airdate.

That’s disappointing …

I managed to catch a film, last night.

One called The Endless.

Quite what to make of it?   I’m sure I couldn’t say.

But it’s an interesting film.

You know, I’m thinking I must be having some sort of effect.

No, really.

I’ve — as you’ve possibly noticed — been posting up video for quite some time, now.

And, even more recently?

Been getting comments.

Well … 

Ben getting comments on my Youtube account: along the lines “Wow, nice video: here’s a link to one of MY videos.”

It’s what’s none as Comment Spam: and is also a version of the sort of thing I’ve had for years, here on Nik Nak’s Old Peculiar.

OK … 

It’s something I can deal with.

After all, both Youtube and Blogger let you moderate comments.

But, BOY, it’s a pain … !

I get back home from, and turned on my TV — by default, I’ve usually got the BBC’s News channel on — expecting to hear more about the Nice Bastille Day Attack.

Only to find there’s been an attempted coup: in Turkey.

Brexit, terror attacks in France, Turkish coups … !

What next?

It’ll be the Apocalypse!
