Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 1st June 2025.

1st June, 2025.

Right: it’s not often I say this: but this post going to be a touch late.

Yes: I’ve officially been helping a neighbour.

You really don’t want to ask what they wanted me to find.

Moving rapidly on … ?

I managed to catch the last episode of season two — or series fifteen, if you want it like that — of Doctor Who.

Assuming I don’t get interrupted, I’ll have my review up, later today.

But … ?

That was an interesting episode.

~≈👩🏼‍⚕️≈~

Just as a quick thought … ?

A recent BBC newspiece tells us that broadcast piracy is still going on: especially of major sports events.

Many are blaming the rise of hacked Amazon fire sticks.

Personally?

I can’t help but think the fans quoted in the piece have a point.

Streaming services lowering their prices — especially for premium games — would be a very good idea.

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum†, Debbi‡ and Irene§ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s unthemed questions, shall we?

And a song …

The next ten question set is on 11th June: it’s about E. T.: The Extraterrestrial

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        I think that’s quite common, Olga¶.   I believe there’s different versions made for different countries, and/or for different media.   There’s a cinema version, a TV version, what have you.   I believe a lot of it depends on the various regulations about what can be shown in each country, and each country’s different media.   Spanish TV will be different to Spanish cinemas, and English TV channels, for example.
And that’s before you factor in the Close Encounters factor.   The studio thinks the film could be better, and asks the director to come up with a recut.   Or the director re-edits things so it ‘matches my artistic vision for the piece.’
Spielberg, Columbia Pictures, and Ridley Scott, have a lot to answer for!

        Hello, Mum!

He was a bit vocal, wasn’t he, Debbi?   Oh, I figured today’s quote would appeal.
Oh, there’s possibly going to be a package, later to day …

§        Morning, Irere!   How IS the day … ?

¶        Did I mention how many version of Blade Runner there are, Olga?   There’s a few …

You're right. And yes, I've watched a few different versions of Blade Runner, with and without voiceover narration. Oh, and I watched Apocalypse Now Redux, and that is looooong (although interesting).
