Oh, well, that’s THAT explained, then … !

Do you follow football, at all?

Personally, I don’t: I’m not a fan of the game.

But one doesn’t necessarily need to be a fan to know a thing or two: especially if you’ve been a barman — in pubs that show football — for 14 years.

You get VERY aware of the consensus amongst fans: that FIFA, the sport’s governing body, is corrupt.

Has it’s hand in the till.   Putting bungs in it.   Taking kickbacks.

Yesterday … ?   Saw the resignation of FIFA’s controversial President, Sepp Blatter.    I was … shocked … but not necessarily surprised.

At least one football fan I know, cheered.

At any rate, I was unsurprised: but curious about his motivation, as he’d maintained he’d be staying on.

But according to reports from the US, this morning … ?   The FBI’s investigating him.

Well, that’s THAT explained, than … !

The Daily Teaser — 2-5-2015

Good lord, Charles Kennedy’s died … 

I don’t know if you knew, but I see myself as a former Liberal Democrat voter.

Frankly?

I had voted for them, for most of my life: it’s only in the last General Election — and the European Election, the previous year — after the Lib-dems went into coalition with the Conservatives, that I went Green.

Saying that … ?   I have to admit to a certain amount of admiration for Chat-show Charlie: whose sheer wit and charm took the party — in 2005 — to it’s best ever election result.

Now … ?   Now he’s dead: at the relatively young age of 55.

That’s a tragedy …

The Daily Teaser — 1-6-2015: The RUC

Oooooh, but that’s done me some good … !

I have to admit to happily being back at work: after a long time, job hunting.

All good!

And — of course — I’ve now got a part-time job at a local fast-food place.

I’m not complaining about that: or the hours, either.   We’ve a 16 hour contract, so it’s all good.

I’m not complaining about last week’s hours, either.   I had quite few of them.   It’s all overtime, basically.

Well, money, at any rate.

At any rate, I had a lot of hours, last week.

But boy, I needed my sleep, last night.

My day off today?   Is going to be the better for it.

Or, at least, it will … once I’ve gone shopping …

ARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!

ONE of these day’s, I swear, I’ll get the hang of checking on dates!

I told you, yesterday, I’d got up for work — nice and early — to get to a staff meeting.

Four o’clock in the morning, early!

So … I was up, nice and early.   Getting myself to work, nice and early … 

And found out the staff meeting was next Week — and that I’d got my dates wrong — nice and early.

There’s only one word for it.

ARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

How on EARTH did I managed THAT … ?

Anyone who’s been following me for a while will realise something.

A)   I write the Daily Teaser: partly to entertain myself, partly to entertain you.

B)   I posted this morning’s, fairly early: thinking I had to get to a staff meeting at work.

About B) … ?

Boy, was I wrong … !

Getting up at 4 o’clock in the morning, wrong!

I’ll admit it, there’s a staff meeting on Saturday.   Next Saturday … !

Me being me, I’ve managed to get up for it, today.

If this particular post sounds a bit mangled?   Well … 

I think I’ve got an excuse.
