The Daily Teaser — 5-10-2014: The Jarrow March

You know, I have to admit to having missed Dr Who, last night.

But for perfectly valid reasons, I should add.

I was at a family meal, believe it or not, celebrating my kid sister’s birthday: at a local Turkish restaurant.

First time I’ve had halep, I know that.   Bits of chicken on a tomato sauce, so you know.

Rather nice, actually: even if I had trouble pronouncing it.

At any rate … ?   At any rate, for anyone following my write-on this year’s series: I’ll have that up later.

Now … let’s get a move on …

The Daily Teaser — 4-10-2014: The First Satellite

You know, you can TELL it’s Saturday, can’t you … ?

Most of us will have today and tomorrow off work.

Personally … ?

Well, personally, I’m off work: and was a barman for many years.   So a weekend isn’t that stunning a thing.

 Still …

I can get me job-searching done.   AND there’s a good chance of a night out, tonight.

It’s all good.

The Friday Question Set — 3-10-2014

Oh, well THAT was good …

Sudden … But good … And very welcome afternoon out.

An old friend needed help picking a posh (metaphorical) frock, so you know.

But whatever the excuse … ?

Well, whatever the excuse, I’m not complaining: I can usually find something to do, indoors, but it’s nice to head out …

The Daily Teaser — 3-10-2014: Never More … !

Hmmm …

That’s inconvenient.

You’re (possibly) aware that I’m job hunting at the moment, aren’t you?

One of the things I’m obliged to do, in order to receive state benefits, is to head for my local Job Centre every day, to look for work on their public terminals.

I’m not complaining, there.   It gets me out of the flat, and means I can focus on the task in hand: without getting distracted by — say — a huge pile of Deadwood videos.

Except yesterday … ?   Yesterday, those terminals were down.

Through no fault of the Job Centre’s I should add.   It seems the lines connecting the terminals to the internet were playing up.

I can’t help but hope that BT get’s its collective bums in gear.   Granted, I can do my job searching, here at home.

But going somewhere to do it, rather than sitting around, indoors, all day.

The Daily Teaser — 2-1-2014

Right, it’s another rushed start, today: I’ve another appointment, at quarter to ten, today.

Only this time, with my GP’s practise nurse: I’m getting me ears looked at.

One thing I do know, though … ?

Is that my two sisters and I celebrated my youngest sisters birthday: by catching Stephen Fry’s More Fool Me reading  at the Royal Festival Hall, as it was streamed to our local cinema.

Fantastic night out!
