Outcasts Episode 4: Rogue ACs, politicians and jawbones.

You know, I’ve got to be honest, I’d love to know what’s happening with my copy of Safari, right now, I really would!

It seems to be having trouble rendering pages it usually deals with, with no problem: hence the two screen-grabs at the bottom of the page.

I’m thinking that that the version of Flash Player for Mac I have may be what’s causing the problem: mostly where I’ve tried dumping the relevent .plist files — the usual solution — and that hasn’t worked … !

Oy veh!

I know Apple and Adobe have their disagreements, but this is silly … !

But lets move on, shall we … ?

Yes …

Now, I wrote, last night, to tell you what an improvement I felt episode 3 of Outcasts over last weeks first two episodes.

Which is something I feel has carried on with tonight’s fourth episode of the series.

Episode 4 opens with Expeditionary commander, Jack finding a very ill AC collapsing just outside Forthaven.

An AC who seems to be both intimidatingly large.

And to have …

Issues.

For starters, ones that involve him blacking out …

Now, as I said, earlier, this week’s two episodes — tonight’s as much as last nights — have impressed me.

Both have come across as being somewhat better paced than the first two episodes.

Better paced, and — for the most part — somewhat better acted.

Granted I think there’s still much that could possibly be done: there’s a scene between Jeanné Kietzmann as Lily and Hermione Norris as her mother, Stella, Forthaven’s Chief of Police, that struck me as somewhat stilted, and lacking the venom I’ve seen in family arguments.

And another scene — where Amy Manson as Fleur is dangling over a long drop and rescued by Nonso Anozie as the rogue AC, Elijah — that seemed a touch predictable.

But on the whole … ?

This is improving.

Oh, there’s still a way to go, I think.

But the overall improvements — along with the fossilized human jawbone — are telling me that Outcasts is improving rather nicely.

Let’s hope that the shows producers can keep up the pace.

It’s about the only thing justifying the disappointments that Episodes 1 and 2 were …
