Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 4th December 2024.

4th December, 2024.

Right … I’m up early, again.

As I’m hoping to get to my GP’s surgery for — *pauses for dramatic effect* —  a pneumonia shot!

Considering pneumonia can be nasty, I’m glad I qualify for it!

~≈💉≈~

I’m equally glad to have the excuse to head for town.

Because?

Well, it means I can find a convenient postbox, and:
  • Post Christmas card.
  • Buy stamps for international Christmas cards.
Quite what that’s going to cost me, I don’t know.

But I suspect the word ‘extortion’ is going to be used … !

~≈📮≈~

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring ten out of ten.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s [insert number here] questions, shall we?

“I couldn’t go on forever being Little Miss Fixit who burst into song.”
Deanna Durbin, December 4, 1921 – April 17, 2013.
And a song …

The next ten question sets are on the 8th and 9th of December.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Do you mean Eton’s next to Windsor Castle, Olga?   That must have been convenient for the Royals, then!   It would keep the school run, short!
Well, the weight and the call went well.   The blood test was a disaster: I’d not had enough fluids.

        Hello, Mum!

Well, the ‘shur’ bit’s close, Debbi.   But the first syllable is similar to the British English pronunciation of ‘Derby’.   It’s pronounced ‘DAR-by’.
Hopefully, you’ll have time to recover: the next two are on the 8th, and 9th …
