Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 5-11-2025 — The Plot

5th November, 2025: The Plot.

Right, then … it’s official.

I spent a lot of time, yesterday morning: sweating, swearing, struggling … and standing on a step stool.

Because?

Because my new blinds turned up, yesterday!

And have now been installed.

OK, the new blinds are very far from perfect: they were cheap, after all.

But?

It means I can get a newer, better quality, set at a later date.

And I can see daylight.

Which is nice.

Just as a reminder for my UK readers?

Yes: it is Guy Fawkes Night.

This means Bobby the Cat will be celebrating it by wearing a hat … and staying indoors.

Whether your pets are wearing appropriate hats is down to you … but keeping them indoors is a good idea …

From the Wikipedia entry on Guy Fawkes Night.
A song …

And the earworm that’s been playing me all morning … !

The next ten question set is on 10th November: and is about actor, Richard Burton.

Your comments will be published, tomorrow morning.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

AI is avoided, when writing these questions.

Answers are accurate: at the time of writing.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

†        It was definitely tricky, Debbi: the actual answer was Edward 7th!   (Edward 8th was the one who abdicated …)
I think everyone wants to be twenty years younger, Debbi … !

Oops! Ah, well.

Wow, I've been reading Orwell's Why I Write. Fantastic! A must-read for everyone.

He had a great sense of humour. :) Irony, etc.

I still need to watch V for Vendetta. But I've read the script. I can totally see it was based on a graphic novel. It's like a dystopian comic book. Kinda.
