I’ve actually got my television, very assertively, switched off.

There’s a (possibly) reason for that …

Or excuse, more like.

I think the older I get, the more distractable I get.

And, granted, it’s nice to have the old goggle box on to provide a touch of background noise, I’m also thinking that, right now, at 7:20 in the morning … ?

That it’s nice to be able to say there’s a little early morning quietness, with only the sound of the occasional passing car and train, for company.

It is, to put in mildly, nice and peaceful.
