The Daily Teaser — 18-5-2013

Well, it’s official …

The Dr Who series 7 finale episode, The Name Of The Doctor, get’s screened, tonight.

Thankfully … ?   Thankfully, I’ve managed to guarantee my enjoyment, by managing to avoid any spoilers.

Especially in light of the BBC’s accidentally sending out Series 7B DVDs a week early!   Ye GODS!

At ANY rate … ?

My DVD is now set up and ready to go.

No spoilers, please, folks … !

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: along with confessing she’s both thinking of getting a Mac, and had thoroughly enjoyed Rubber Soul when she was younger.

Let’s see how she — and you — do with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the ‘How To’, License and video …

Q1) 18th May, 1948, saw the Legislative Yuan — its Parliament, in other words — of the Republic of China convene for the first time.   In which city … ?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q5) Norway, Sweden and Denmark all make up which part of Europe … ?
A5) Scandinavia.
Q6) Which of the countries named in Q5 are on the Scandinavian Peninsular … ?

Q10) And finally … on which Beatle album would you find the song, Norwegian Wood … ?
A10) Rubber Soul.
Enjoy those: I’ll leave you with this though from the late Fred Perry …
“I didn’t aspire to be a good sport; ‘champion’ was good enough for me.”
Fred Perry (18 May 1909 – 2 February 1995)
And, as it’s Toyah’s birthday … ?

With THIS tune …

*        Got to admit, I was always more of a Status Quo fan, when I was younger, Debbi: saying that … ?   The Beatles and Stones were part of my childhood: and did I tell you my kid sister, Ruth, is something of a Beatles fan … ?   Hence a Certain Nephew’s name … :D   (Oh, by the way … ?   I know this is going to be a BIT eyeball popping, but if you DO go for a Mac, you’ll find this list of keyboard shortcuts handy† … )

†        Oh, Debbi, didn’t you say you knew a few Unix commands … ?   That’s the stuff underneath all the eye-candy: I never use it much, although I DO use the rm -r command to get rid of really awkward files.

Re: "Name of the Doctor" Sue 's had me actively seeking spoilers without success; she's resigned to waiting until tonight, now. :-)
