Drat: I didn’t get the job … !
That’s a disappointment: definitely a disappointment.
Especially considering it was a local job … !
It was easy to get to, for a start.
Oh, well … Looks like I’ll have to take a deep breathe, and carry on looking.
But that’s disappointing … and very frustrating … !

I’ll leave you with this thought from the late, Ahmet Ertegün, founder of Atlantic Records …
“In those days, we worked night and day, and we loved every minute of it. The quest for a great artist, a hit song, or a new sound was our nighttime activity. Promotions, publicity, and sales took up our daytime hours.”Ahmet Ertegün July 31 1923 – December 14, 2006
And with this tune …
Have a good day.
* Yeah, a couple of friends are fans of hers, Debbi. Got to admit, I liked her singles: although I was never THAT big a fan. Mind you, I did like the video for Babooshka. (Pointless trivia for you, Debbi, her costume — the really extravagant one! — was based on a Chris Achilleos piece.)

1. I have thought of about 6 volcanoes, but none seem suitable. Mount Teide went off when Adam and Eve were about; I saw a video of them running from it.
2. Maybe not Lady Chatterley's Lover or the Satanic Verses. Are there any other controversial books?
3. Spanish Armadillo, which was not so good a swimmer as the Great Seal, because the Armada sank.
4. rum
5. More than I have.
Simon doesn't like volcanoes, controversy, Spanish Armadillos, rum or swimming. He's probably ok about other armadillos, but not ones that invade. He does like a good book, and he says geology is interesting, but he's glad he's not near an erupting volcano, though he was excited to go to Iceland.
Cool! Thanks for the Jammie Dodger advice, by the way! :)
1. Mount Fuji
2. Center of the Storm
3. The Spanish Armada
4. a daily rum ration
5. 22
