The Daily Teaser — 13-12-2015

You know, I think I’m getting old.

Whilst, of course, still mentally feeling like a teenager, at times.

Either way … ?

Well, either way, I’m getting old.

And starting to feel … not the heat … but the cold.

Right at the moment … ?

Right at the moment, it’s just coming up to 7:43, my heating is on …

And I’m definitely thinking my boiler’s taking its time to do its thing!

Brrr … !

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw both Debbi* and Olga† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How ToLicense and video …

Q1) 13th December, 1988, saw Yasser Arafat give a speech to the UN General Assembly.   In a meeting, where: Geneva, New York or Cairo?
Q2) The prisoners known as the Texas Seven, escaped from a prison in Texas: on 13th December, 2000.   They were recaptured: after help from which US TV show?
Q3) The Sansad Bhavan building was attacked by terrorists: on 13th December, 2001.   The building is the home of which country’s Parliament?
Q4) Steve Buscemi was born on the 13th December, 1957.   In which TV series did he play Nucky Thompson?
Q5) Finally … An American In Paris had its debut performance: on 13th December, 1928.   Who wrote it?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) 12th December, 1897, saw the formal founding of the South American city of Belo Horizonte.   Belo Horizonte is in which country?
A1) Brazil.
Q2) Guinea joined the United Nations: on 12th December, 1958.   Guinea is on which continent?
A2) Africa.
Q3) Which country launched its first successful satellite: on 12th December, 2012?
Q4) 12th December is — in some churches — the Feast day of Saint Edburga of Minster-in-Thanet.   Minster-in-Thanet is in which English county: Essex, Sussex or Kent?
A4) Kent.   (Apparently, Edburga is ALSO called Bugga.   THERE’S an accident waiting to happen … )
Q5) Finally … Bombs went off in two Italian cities, on 12th December, 1969.   Name either of the Italian cities …
A5) Milan or Rome.
I’ll leave you with this thought …
“I usually get freaked out if I’m in a situation where a lot of people recognise me at once.”

Steve Buscemi, December 13, 1957.
And this tune …

Enjoy your day …

*        Oh, I certainly TRY, Debbi!   I’m blaming … um … well … tiredness, being rushed, frantic Christmas shopping … and Bill Gates’ bad mouse design‡ …

†        BOY, but it would be nice, Olga!   I don’t see it happening until after Christmas, but still … !

‡        Jus on general principles … !
