Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 26-7-2025 — Jung

26th July, 2025: Carl Jung.

Right then: it’s now Saturday morning.

The day after more blood tests, and an appointment with my surgery’s nurse practitioner.

The tests are for my GP: and I’m convinced that headache I had, later, was because I’d skipped breakfast.

The appointment … ?

Was to talk about a blood sugar monitor I’d been issued.

You have to prick your finger with a lancet, and put the drop of blood onto a test strip: the machine ‘reads’ the blood, and gives you a result a few seconds later.

Except, of course, my fingers being my fingers?

I barely get a drop: along side an error code that translates as “There’s not enough blood!”

I pick up the new, improved, bigger, needles on Monday … !

Let’s move on.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

†        I think the Robin Hood tree is supposed to be the same sort of age, Olga.   It amazes me these last so long: without being turned into firewood.
I think Gibson/Neeson/Willis rescuing assorted family members is quite common: they’re modern knights in shiny armour, rescuing fair maidens.
You know, it’s funny you should mention Neeson: he’s playing Frank Drebin, the Leslie Nielsen character, in the new Naked Gun film.   Whether he’s any good is a whole other question.
Yeah: technology is all change!   When I signed up for the internet connection at home, it had a twenty gigabyte usage limit.   These days?   There’s bigger limits on pay-as-you-go mobile!

Yeah: part three’s a zombie movie, Debbi!
Oh, the next work out’s on Monday: then there’s a pause until Left-hander’s on the 13th August.
