It’s official: I heard a bang, yesterday!

I was at home, yesterday: and … ?

Something happened.

I heard a loud banging from my front door, at around 11.30.

I thought it was kids, playing about: even though it seemed a lot louder than it should have been.

It turns out it wasn’t.

According to a lot of different news sites, it was a couple of Typhoon jets from RAF Coningsby: reacting to a civilian plane that had lost contact with Air Traffic Control.

I’m glad to hear it.

That bothered me for minutes …

†        Hopefully, the medication will be OK, Olga: I’m more worried about the space in my sharps bin, at the moment: it’ll be a day or two before the new one turns up!

        People’s use of technology surprises me, it really does: the amount of people I know with expensive smart phones, who can’t use them?   Or feel intimidated by a laptop?!   Or who can set the timer on a DVD recorder, but not use a smart phone?   Well … 

        I don’t know if it’s going to be of any help for your mother — it sounds like things are accelerating, from where I’m sitting — but have you given any thought to some form of music therapy?   I’m told it can be useful in some cases.

        Even as I say that?   I’m very aware of a quote from the late Sir Terry Pratchett:

‡        Did you ever read the original Hannibal Lecter novels, Debbi?   He’s supposed to be polydactyl.   If I remember correctly, he’s supposed to have removed the extra finger, himself, so he’s harder to identify.

        The extra one was supposed to be on his left hand, so I’m assuming he’s right handed … … … … … … !
