Oh, now, wait a minute, I think I’m entranced, again … !
Oh, yes!
Because I’ve just caught the first episode of Series three of Merlin, and I think it’s starting to shape up!
Oh, YES!
Tonight’s episode — The Tears of Uther Pendragon, Part 1 — is set a year after the events of Series 2, and sees Prince Arthur and Merlin — Bradley James and Colin Morgen — searching and finding finding Morgana: played, again, by the ever yummy Katy McGrath.
But it doesn’t stop there, oh no … !!
Because, in the following forty-five minutes … ?
We learn that what Morgana has told her adoring adoptive father, isn’t what she and Morgause — Emilia Fox — have in mind for the ageing King.
He’s going to be sent slightly mad …
And that mandrake root only screams if you’re magically inclined … !
‹‹‹◊›››
Now, I’ll happily admit, I think this is going to generate more posts.
But, my word!
I think — think — that the BBC, along with Shine, the production company that make Merlin, are going to pull a rather big rabbit out of their hats, with this series.
To paraphrase the Brothers Grimm, Terry Pratchett and everyone else that’s used the rather hoary old line … ?
Now watch on …
