Oh, gods but that was a rough day!

Yesterday, that is … !

You know how you get a bad morning?

I started with one.   I think I managed to forget to take a fiver with me: my change, in other words!

I’ll have to ask about that: god knows where that’s gone, if I have left it there!

It only went downhill, from there!

With one snotty customer after another, phoning into work.

Seriously snotty: I don’t often lose my temper at a customer, that often.

What can I tell you?

Apart from making sure my apology went on the record: in case The customer called in to complain.

Now … Have an earworm …

A1) Bannockburn.

Q2) King Faisal died  on 25th March, 1975: after a gun attack.   Faisal was king of where?
A2) Saudi Arabia.

Q3) That same day — 25th March, 1975 — saw the National Front, a notorious far right group,  launch violent protests.   Against what: joining Europe, immigration or imported cheese?
A3) Joining Europe.

Q4) The Coxey’s Army march, started: on 25th March, 1894.   What was it protesting against: Chinese immigration, unemployment or alcohol use?
A4) Unemployment.   (It, and the later Cox’s Army, sound very reminiscent of the Jarrow March.)

*        Oh, I can remember when our communal aerial went down, Olga: during the Saint Jude’s Day Storm.    Very frustrating: it took a devil’s age to repair!   And it was in the run up to the Dr Who 50th anniversary: you can imagine how I felt!   At ANY rate, I’m glad I had the AppleTV, at least I could catch up with stuff.   I also know I’ve an old friend in Wales: who swears blind the only way she can get a decent signal is by using Sky …

†       Without the splint, Debbi?   I’m impressed!   Sounds like the experimental treatment’s working!   Shame in one sense, though: I had also those RoboDebbi gags lined up!   :D
