Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 1-8-2021: August

1st August, 2021.

Right …

That’s the update done.

I mentioned, yesterday, that a security update had cropped up: a security one that sounded serious.

That’s officially done, and dusted.

I will admit, though … ?   I’m grateful a couple of games on the AppleTV work with the new and improved Siri remote.

I had something to do, while I waited …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Trevor*, Edith†, Mum‡, Debbi^ and putting in their answers: with Trevor and Edith scoring five out of five, and Mum and Debbi on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video

Q1)        As it’s 1st August?   We have five questions about August.   August is which month of the year: the seventh, eighth or ninth?

Q2)        August is that month of the year in the modern calendar.   That calendar is what: Julian, Syrian or Gregorian?

Q3)        How many days are there, in August?

Q4)        The month is named after which Roman Emperor: Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar or Tiberius Caesar?

Q5)        Finally … ?   If you were born in August, you would have been born under one of two star signs.   Name either one of the two.
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        31st July, 1963, saw the birth of musician, Norman Cook.   He’s also known as Fatboy … what?
A1)        Fatboy Slim.

Q2)        As Fatboy, Norman’s a what: DJ, bassist or sound engineer?
A2)        A DJ:

Q3)        He played what for the Housemartins: lead guitar, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, tambourine, drums, triangle or bongos?
A3)        Bass guitar.

Q4)        Which of Cook’s bands hat a hit with Dub Be Good to Me: The Housemartins, Beats International or Freak Power?
A4)        Beats Beats International.

Q5)        Finally … ?   As Fatboy, he released Weapon of Choice in 2001.   Which Hollywood star appeared in the video for Weapon of Choice: Christopher Walken, Robert De Niro or Al Pacino?
A5)        Christopher Walken: who, after all, got his start as a dancer. As an incidental point? Fatboy’s a Dune fan.
Here’s a thought …
“The August cloud * * * suddenly
Melts into streams of rain.”
Sella, by William Cullen Bryant.
And a playlist …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Feel free to share today’s video Teaser.

Have a good day.

*            Well, it was a video of Gatiss, Bradley and Mackie, Trevor: from Twice Upon a Time.

My pleasure, Edith, every time!   I hope yesterday’s playlist was OK … ?

‡        Hello, Mum!

^        Were they … ?   I learn something new, everyday, Debbi.   I’m betting Christopher Walken was the better dancer: he trained as one!
Actually, talking of Fatboy … ?   It HAS been a while since you head the name: two years, in fact …

ª        Did I mention Fatboy’s a Dune fan?   “If you walk without rhythm … ”

A4 Augustus Caesar
A5 Leo and Virgo

Recheck your scores for yesterday. Edith got 5 and your mum got 4.

Anita my first wife was a Virgo (Sept 13) and Penny is Libra (Sept 24). I am Taurus (May 16) as is my sister Gill (May 17). I am 4 years older than Gill.

I do not think I ever looked up my horoscope, do not think there is one in the Daily Telegraph.
