I had an interview arranged for Friday, 8th October.
Which got cancelled, yesterday.
Apparently, the store ‘no longer required the role.’

Sorry about the interview. Here they seem to be closing offices of a lot of businesses and big companies, while ministers with a curious sense of humour say that people between 55 and 65 should be more eager to work. Well, perhaps he could try telling the people hiring to pick up older (and more expensive) workers, or perhaps they could offer incentives to companies who employ older workers.It is true that, for a while, early retirement was very common, but now, unless you start your own company, it's difficult to get a job when you are over a certain age.
My stomach is not back to normal yet, but I hope it will be OK for Anna's class this afternoon. Stay safe.

I keep seeing job adverts on Facebook for jobs at Brentwood council. If I remember right there were 2 jobs advertised this last week. One was for some one to work in the housing department and the other was for dustmen. Both paid about the same
