Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 14-8-2024 — The Falkland Islands.

14th August, 2024: the Falkland Islands.

Right … Wednesdays … !

It’s officially Wednesday: and the day after my court hearing was cancelled.

I’ve climbed down a touch.

OK: I can understand the recent riots have caused delays …

But I’m still not happy about it.

You can possibly imagine!

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Debbi scoring five out of five and Mum on four.

The day also saw Olga‡ leaving us a message.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Here’s a thought …
“The Falkland Islands [ … ] [are] an archipelago [ … ] on the Patagonian Shelf.”
From the Wikipedia entry on the Islands.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

Tell me about it, Debbi … !   And there’s an irony that the Pythons’ biggest straight man, was the one gay member!

It’s frustrating, Olga, I know that: and was right at the last minute!   It certainly put a damper on Left-handers day!

I can imagine. I went to the doctor with my mother, as she has been complaining of pain in her left knee, and as she's had a couple of falls recently, I thought it was worth checking it wasn't a problem that was causing the falls. They think it is arthritis, but they've ordered some X-rays (it will be a while) and given her some stronger medication, so we shall see. But our walks are very short now, and we keep having to take breaks. (I sometimes try to go for a longer walk early in the morning, before it is too hot, but it can be tricky, as she has to take her medication and get ready, and is not the best at simply staying in bed, although she goes to bed very early in the evenings.

BTW, I recently had the chance to connect on LinkedIn with someone who writes comedy and is in Britain (and worked for BBC). I just had to mention my interest in writing for the BBC. Not to mention my love of Doctor Who, and weird love for Jammie Dodgers and Marmite. :)

Then, of course, I mentioned my love of Terry Pratchett's work.

We connected, which was great. Hey, you never know, right? :)
