The Daily Teaser — 7-7-2014

Mmmm …

Bleaugh …

I hate being up at this sort of time, I really do.

I’ve had my issues, recently: and fully expect to have more, today, with the financial situation being what it is.

But getting up at five, so I can go to the Fresh Start course I’m on … ?

Not good!

The course, itself, is fine: even enjoyable, as the tutors are good at getting everyone involved.

It’s just the getting up that’s not good!

The Daily Teaser — 6-7-2014

It’s Sunday …

Isn’t it … ?

Yes, it is.

Which, of course, means it’s the day before Monday: and when I find out whether I’m getting anything from the Hardship Fund.

I’m nervous: and worried.   And angered by how it’s happened.

Something my regular readers will know.

At ANY rate … ?   I’m having a bunch of mixed feelings.

But know I’ve done everything I can to make sure things go in my favour.

It’s in either the lap of the gods … or the Department of Work and Pensions.

At any rate, before we move on?

I’ll embed these two versions of the newest Dr Who teaser trailers: and have to ask … what on Earth is that voice … ?

The Daily Teaser — 5-7-2014

You know, I’ve had something of a bad week.

But I’ve got to the point where I’ve done everything I can to sort out my finances.

So, over the weekend?

I’m going to have to do one thing.

Hurry up and wait …

The Friday Question Set — 4-7-2014

Hmmm …

I’ve got to admit to having a bad(dish) week.

After having my benefits cancelled: or suspended, at any rate.

Not necessarily something you look forward to, I know THAT much.

At any rate, it’s been a bit of any iffy one, this week.

But there we go.

Hopefully, next week will be an improvement: we’ll have to see what happens.

Or if any one decides to make my week by hitting my Donate button.

The Daily Teaser — 4th-July-2014: Independence Day

You know, I’ve had something of a roller-coaster week: emotions going up and down, to match the various bits of good and bad news I’ve received.

I had another unwelcome bit, last night: although not one that affected me, directed.

I’m a Terry Pratchett fan.

So the news, a few years ago, that he’d been diagnosed with a form of early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease touched me, deeply.

As was his involvement in the Right to Die campaign.

Thankfully — or possibly not — the progress of his condition has been slow.

Although, having lost a grandmother to the condition, I’ve always felt that, with each screened interview, I could see the effects of the condition digging in.

There was news from The Guardian, yesterday: Terry’s had to cancel an appearance at an up-coming convention.   Something he’s never had to do, before.

I’m definitely not happy.

And can’t help but wonder this.   When will he be taking this option.
