Which lasted for a couple of hours, I should add.

Long enough to be decidedly uncomfortable.

And long enough for me to put my boss on warning, for today.

Right … another day off …

Believe it or not, I’m off to Kidspace in Romford.

And (possibly) to see Top Cat, afterwards.

You can tell I’m doing with a certain nephew, can’t you … ?

I’m just hoping the film’s not a total bomb: it’s getting mixed reviews …

House of Cards — Series 3: Episodes 12 and 13 (Chapters 38 and 39)

Right … 

It’s a Wednesday: just in case you hadn’t guessed.

And frankly, one where I’ve had little do: beyond house-keeping, a little light writing, and some shopping.

And … ?

AND watching some TV.

Now, given you know I like several series — Dr Who, certainly, plus Merlin, Torchwood and Penny Dreadful — you’d be correct in assuming it’s one of the few I’ve happily withered on about.

You‘d be right.

In this case, though?

It’s House of Cards.

The last two episodes of series three, in fact.

Oh, I hate that … !

I had to go off ill from work, yesterday: with my guts grinding like a poorly set of gears.

I HATE that when that happens.

I don’t like the idea of taking time off with a physical problem, however much that’s affecting my productivity.

I’ve a doctor’s appointment, next week.   And have an idea of what set my stomach off, last night.

Even so, I really don’t like taking time off.

Despite the fact my guts are affecting my productivity, I don’t like not earning money.   I don’t like not earning my own keep … 

I don’t like not being part of a team, making whatever contribution I can.

And REALLY hate letting the side down.
