The Daily Teaser: 14-5-11

Oh …

Well …

Now that I’ve calmed down about yesterday’s Great Blogger Outage, I’ve GOT to admit, I think I’m going to have to start making definite efforts to archive things.

But given Google — the owner of Blogger — are making a bit thing of their Chromebooks, laptops running the Chrome OS and storing user data in the Cloud, I’ve got to ask what happens if any of their other online services go under … ?

THAT’S going to cause a ruckus …

Lets get moving on, shall we … ?

Yes, lets …

Yesterday’s much delayed Teaser saw Debbi managing to put in her answers: along with scoring 5 out of 5, she also managed to offer up a brief biography of Sir Winston Churchill. Okay. Here's the scary AA story that is lost in the clouds somewhere:

3. Alcoholics Anonymous was founded in 1935 after a New York stockbroker, William Griffith Wilson, met a fellow alcoholic, Dr. Robert Holbrook Smith, in Akron, Ohio. The fellowship is reckoned to have started on June 10 of that year, the day that Dr. Smith took his last drink, a beer accompanied by a tranquilizer. Dr. Smith needed to steady his nerves; he was about to perform an operation. [YIKES!!!]
