1. Well, it was France, so I'd say a complete collapse of morals. Cake might have been involved.
2. Genoa? That's why so many men like to stick salami in their jeans - it highlights all the "advances" from that city.
3. Serge? Along with the salami theme, I think they meant to say "surge", but spelled it wrong.
4. Tonkin? Really, I was so young and have no idea, but I'm convinced a lot of people died.
5. Oh, I could cheat and check Google, but I've never done that before, so I'll just pick a place I like - Nederland?
