The Daily Teaser — 2-6-2014

Oh, wait, hang on …

That sounds …

Ominous …

Are you familiar with the name of Madeleine McCann … ?   The three year-old girl who went missing, whilst on holiday with her family, in Portugal?

Apparently, she’d been taken — by someone —from the holiday apartment the family were staying in.

It’s ALSO one of those cases that didn’t exactly endear they press to the British publice: they weren’t exactly behaving especially well: practically accusing Madeleine’s parents of killing her.

This, on top of accusations of bad police handling of the case: by both the Met, and Portuguese.

Recent years, though, have seen a re-run of the investigation.

With the result that today sees a search of an area of scrubland in Portugal, near the resort where Madeleine McCann went missing.

Apparently, search parties are searching for something.

Personally … ?   Personally, I can’t help but think that sounds ominous.

Outside of that … ?

Well, I feel sorry for the child’s parents.

And think I’d’ve rather found out what happened — good or bad — a lot sooner.

 …

And with this thought from the Marquis de Sade …
“The law which attempts a man’s life [capital punishment] is impractical, unjust, inadmissible. It has never repressed crime—for a second crime is every day committed at the foot of the scaffold.”
From Yet Another Effort, Frenchmen, If You Would Become Republicans, by Donatien Alphonse François, Marquis de Sade, 2 June 1740 – 2 December 1814
Have a good day!

Hi Paul!

I'm so behind in writing and editing, I may be absent from the teaser for a while. I'll try to get to it when I can! :)

Cheers,
Debbi
