The Daily Teaser — 25-8-2014

Oh, now that’s sad … !

Dickie’s died …

Just in case you don’t know who I mean … ?

I mean Sir Richard Attenborough: the man behind Gandhi, Oh, What A Lovely War! and Magic.   AND who’d been Pinky Brown in Brit Gangster, Brighton Rock.

He’s died: just a few days short of his ninety-first birthday.

After a full life.

Full … ?   I’m surprised to find out exactly how much he quietly did … !

The British film industry — and quite possibly the world — is going to be the poorer for his loss.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: and scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?   Here they are, along with the How ToLicense and video …

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

I’ll leave you with this song …

And this thought …
“I suppose more than anything else I’d like to be an old man with a good face, like Hitchcock or Picasso. They know that life is not just a popularity contest.”
Sean Connery, born 25th August, 1930.
And with this thought, as well …
“And I believe we need heroes, I believe we need certain people who we can measure our own shortcomings by.”
Sir Richard Attenborough, 29 August 1923 – 24 August 2014.
Have a good day.

*        I might just be adding Brighton Rock to my list of films, Debbi, just to mark Sir Richard’s passing.  It’s been a while since I’ve watched it.   Might just grab your attention, as well: William Hartnell’s in it …    (I might just check out Magic, as well, at some point: it’s another one Sir Richard directed.   It’s supposed to be the film that made Anthony Hopkin’s career.)
